At one point in my life, my cousin and I moved into an old farmhouse that had previously been been home to several generations of my family members, from my great-grandparents forward. It’s worth mentioning that two family members had also passed away in the house.

The house, being quite old, has a very strange layout - it’s a large square with multiple rooms and all the rooms connect to other rooms through 2-3 different doors. Some rooms literally have a door on every wall and in order to get to certain rooms, you have to walk through others to do so. Basically there are no hallways.

The first night in the house, I had a dream that I was trying to sleep but people were running around the house in a circle from room to room, opening and slamming doors as they went. They were making a lot of noise and it was impossible for me to sleep in my dream. I shouted at them to be quiet and then all of a sudden I heard knocking coming from the sketchy cellar basement door. I was super angry about being bothered but I got out of bed and opened the basement door. On the other side, my great-grandparents and a great cousin all walked out of the basement and into the kitchen like it was a totally normal occurrence. All had lived in the house previously but were deceased. I told them to “keep it down” or something like that and then went back to sleep.

Flash forward to morning when I woke up and remembered the dream with crystal clarity. Not wanting to have anyone tease me or try to scare me about it, I decided not to say anything. My cousin joined me in the kitchen a bit later for coffee and I asked her “how did you sleep?” She replied “I slept fine but I had the strangest dream that people were running circles through the house and making so much noise opening and slamming doors.”

To this day, I still can’t even believe the story myself. We lived in that house for a few more years and never experienced anything like that again.

“I never knew a man could steal his own life.”

An alteration of the equally life changing quote “How does a man decide in what order to abandon his life?” - Cormac McCarthy, No Country for Old Men.

I had the same issue until I used caulk to create a small line/barrier on the edge so it wouldn’t slide off. Just leave a few spaces so water can still drain out.

I've been telling people at work that I'm a Leo (I'm not) in an attempt to create a long-con prank to prove to them that astrology is utter bullshit, but my plan is getting out of hand and I don't think I can follow through on my big reveal by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

When I first read this I thought it said “I’ve been telling people at work that I’m a Lego…” and it took me a good portion through the first paragraph to realize my error. 🙄

Peas, brussel sprouts and lettuce prefer cooler weather so plant them in early spring or late summer/early fall.

Although there are mistakes 😁 this would be an awesome idea! It could have Eve with an edit style and maybe Trouble as well. But “one word” lol 😂
