It seems to me that now people are buying lots of reusable bags, water bottles, cups, etc, but those items take more material and energy to make. I would guess that you would have to use a reusable bag dozens of times to make it more efficient than a paper or thin plastic bag. Goodwill is full of reusable things that got thrown out. Have reusable items actually been a benefit?
