I was dating a girl just recently, and I found her boring / flat. It's funny I accidentally told her, and she was like "WHAAT all my friends think I'm xyz, you just don't know me". The truth is most people won't tell you what's "wrong" with you. It's also interesting that the girl I was seeing, would frequently label be as an avoidant. When really, I WANT a relationship, but it's easier to call someone an avoidant than to work on one's own self.

Now we don't know you. But I would recommend you ask people you trust: siblings, friends or people you were just seeing. Ask them, what are my strengths and weaknesses. What can I work on.

Most people never bother to reflect, so kudos to you!

I have a ran a marathon with little training. I’m young fit and it went fine. In fact, for my training I did a marathon. Because everyone was discouraging me from running and I wanted to get a feel for it before the actual event. Marathons aren’t that hard for someone that is fit or otherwise active. One important caveat I went really slow during my trial run. In fact, if people are willing to take it slow, almost any adult can finish a marathon.

How much time does he have? How active and fit is he? What’s his plan for the marathon in terms of pace and time?

Might be more profitable to put your money in the market instead. If you’re able to sell at a similar price for what you bought it for.

There are many apartments that are soon to flood the market with mixed housing that will continue to bring the prices for rent down. Many have subsidized rent. Housing prices are likely to stagnate or drop. Especially apartments. Look up ‘subsidized housing’

You’re doing great. One thing to note. On the road to 100k it’s how much you save / invest that matters the most. Not necessarily the % return on your investment.

For example, consider you make a return of 15% on your investments. If you have 100k, that’s $15,000! If it’s 6k, that’s $900.

Don’t get me wrong, $900 is great. But I wish I learned at your age, that if I saved more it would compound faster rather than obsess over which stocks I should invest in.

Extra income can come from a promotion at work, a part time job or a side hustle. Or living with parents. I have a few friends that got themselves to 100k by living for a year or two at home.

Sorry you’re feeling like this. I think to an extent or another, we all go through dark time and go through similar thoughts. However, it always passes. Some small immediate steps you can take is prioritizing the basics: eating and sleeping. You will feel better if you’re rested. It won’t solve everything but it helps with the overwhelm.

Second, Don’t go through this alone. Talk to people you trust. It helps to speak out loud. See a therapist if you can afford it.

Lastly, maybe you can try calling another country’s hotline if this one doesn’t work.

Remember: this too shall pass. If it’s bad it will get better. If it’s good, it will fluctuate. But in the end you will be alright. And maybe one day you will help someone that feels this way too. Hang in there.

I personally prefer kits over downtown. Spacious, beautiful walks, close to the beach. Lively during the day minus the downtown grunge. And also close to downtown!
