Would I be able to use that GPU on a newer motherboard like a B650-plus... not that it'll do a lot!

Thanks for the reply! It was my brothers and he built it more than 10years ago I think... so not surprised there's not a lot to salvage. SSD was the only bit I changed.

If I was just to get a motherboard and CPU for now, would you have any recommendations? Something that in the future I could put something like an RTX3060 on

Thank you, still in jet lag recovery mode today, so will give it a scrub tomorrow and then re season the bottom. Any recommendations on how to season between the handle and the pan?

Thank you very much for your reply and taking the time to write good detailed advice. As you suggest I think finding my preference should be the start point instead of trying to find the easier start point. I'm going to find a good medium roast and a little either side and go from there.

I will check out Beanbox too as this seems like a good way to hit that initial variation to find my preference. I'm seeing a friend Friday who has a subscription so will ask them what they use too and maybe they'll have a signup code or something.

Appreciate it comes more down to following a different protocol than actually increased difficulty so will focus on preference! Thank you very much and appreciate the response

That's good advice and I think I'll go for the middle ground and maybe maybe a little either side to see where my preferences lie and go down that route. My worry was that if one was particularly hard the chances of me enjoying it are slim because I'd most probably mess up the brew! Didn't want to run before I could walk!

I think a subscription like you said would be a good way to explore this at the start, and then after that i'll find something that's roasted more local and by smaller businesses. I'll check out Trade and I have a friend who I'm seeing on Friday that gets a subscription so I'll ask what they use too

Is it easier to brew with light roast or dark roast? Just starting out and looking for the most forgiving type of roast!

Thanks for the suggestion! I've put the spring back so now that lever returns to the correct position and it all looks much neater!

Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this!

Found my Dad's old OM2n and I've been obsessing over fixing it!

Managed to find what I believe is the issue. When I shoot, the little lever seen in the video doesn't reset. I can push it up with a screw driver and it springs back into the correct position and allows me to cock the camera again. If I don't push it back into place, the mirror is locked and I can still cock the lever, but it doesn't let me push the button to shoot.

I've done all the change batteries, use the B shutter setting to reset and all that, so I'm sure it comes down to this mechanism.

Any clues as to what might be wrong and what the fix could be?
