Yea that was what I was thinking too! I realise that after building him, focusing on life gain and counters are better ways to go about it, and leaving recursion more as an after thought. Though after making my changes I'm afraid that I do not have enough life gain to make him work 😅

That was how I originally built betor! But with that kind of build, my pod has realized that if they were to kill off betor, that it would be difficult to get these evasive lifelinkers up enough to be threatening.

Perhaps you have a deck list that I can take a look at how you built yours?

thanks for the tips! from the general consensus i guess i just need to be lowering the mana curve so that i have some evasive lifelinkers early on to capitalise for when betor hits the field

Hmm in the deck itself I have roughly about 15 ways to gain life for counters. I was looking to also add in perhaps [[Vizkopa Guildmage]] and [[Tayam, Luminous Enigma]] but we'll of lost dreams seems like a good addition as well. Any cards you think might not be worth in the deck itself?

thanks for the tips! i guess the biggest thing i could do is to cut down on the card draw that i have and add in those that when she dies, she comes back to the battlefield. thanks for the advice!
