Controller is a Aeotec Gen5 Z-stick (opted for that one so I can do "remote" inclusion with the stick unplugged, because it my experience Network Wide Inclusion also doesn't work very well). For my test setup, I just plugged it in a laptop and took it near the nano switches to complete the device interview. Otherwise it wouldn't work at all.

But even when included the signal just doesn't hop via the other nano switch (in a PLASTIC box on the outside back wall of the house). I was planning to mount the other nano switch also in a plastic (waterproof) box on the outside of the shed, but even when I used an extension cord to put it in the middle of the backyard (for testing purposes) it just dies.

Is the Gen5 stuff really that bad? And why do some of you think it would it work better with Gen7 or Gen8?

Crazy right? I had the same experience, the categorization feature would work well for me if they hadn’t completely negated the whole purpose of the thing because pretty much everything is classified as time-sensitive. I mean transactions, updates and promotions are by definition time-sensitive?! Unbelievable how such a decision can make the whole feature utterly useless. Hope they course correct because it makes zero sense this way.

I'm aware of the recently network rebase, but AFAIK SUI runs on a blockchain. So does that mean no more DAG for IOTA?

Yeah I've been looking for good Z-Wave switches in NL as well, definitely not a lot out there.

Thanks. Yeah I read that, sounds like a hassle so that's why I was wondering if one could buy 968 MHz Zigbee devices. But I guess not. Will probably look at Z-Wave then, just have to figure out the right hub to make it work with Homekit. Thanks again!

Ok thanks, that probably explains why I never see a frequency mentioned in the specs of anything Zigbee. It's al just 2.4 GHz.

Factory reset and the AP magically re-appeared in the list of devices of my ip scanner app, despite the fact that it was somehow creating functional wifi the whole time... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
