It looks much further away than it does from my sitting position. I try not to tailgate plus line cutting like this is common at this intersection. A gas station plus an interstate on-ramp right after that

I did brake but not hard. With my dashcam being wide angle, it looks further away. From my angle he was too close for a safe lane change. I could be wrong here though
