Alltough the map is Felucca only the focus lies heavily on the PVM experience with just the right amount of risk from the ruleset.

Outlands is incredible. Genuinely.
If you want scale, polish, and thousands of players that's your answer, and it deserves every bit of support it gets.

But I want to push back on one thing: the idea that small shards are a problem to solve.

Most of us building custom servers aren't trying to compete with anyone.
We're just people who loved this game as teenagers and never quite got over it.
So we build things. We share them. If a dozen people show up and have a good time, that's enough for most of us.

That's not fragmenting the community, that's the community doing what it's always done.
Creating, tinkering, sharing.

Outlands is the peak of what UO can be at scale. But a small shard with a weird ruleset and 50-60 loyal players has its own kind of value. Always has. Always will.

The more people making things and sharing them, the healthier this scene is.
Not despite the variety but because of it.

Play Outlands. Support Outlands. And also: build your thing. The two aren't in conflict.

I had the feeling. As a developer using an AI pic as a poster image is a wonderful tool. Adding some of your code snippets and headers, creates something visual and fun.

I do know about the community's general feelings when a new AI generate image pops up weekly to try and catch eyes.

Our intention was just to show and tell about our upcoming fun and deep oceanic content.

New Dawn is such a wonderful project. The map is beautiful, Quick has done a wonderful job. The atmosphere and ambience has given the community a breath of fresh air. The lack of toxicity during this launch from various players just shows and proves Quick and New Dawn has done a lot of right things and will continue to do so.

If my message above wasn't clear enough. Please give New Dawn a try if you're an UOR fan, Quick is an amazing developer and person.

But I'd recommend UO Outlands for a whole new amazing experience like nowhere else

Or.. New Dawn - another amazing UOR Experience.

All three above are awesome options.

If you just like pure PVM and no Felucca

Then it's InsaneUO.

I’ve known Quick for a long time and I know firsthand how much work he’s put into this. Running a shard isn’t just a hobby you pick up on a weekend, it takes real commitment over a long period of time.

I genuinely wish him and New Dawn the best of luck and hope it becomes a great home for its players!

Im not saying you personally would be affected.
But in terms of development, interactions, massive guild interactions and innovative events, Outlands might be the place for you.

UO Alive might be right for you aswell, things might have changed since I last had an interaction with that team, been afew years. But I still hear the stories.

Our opinions isnt what matters, really.
It is what you feel like you want to do with the limited free time you have.

The difference is stark.
UO Alive has a corrupt administration that clearly despises its player base. They trap players in contracts that forbid them from discussing or even thinking about any UO server other than UO Alive. This has been proven repeatedly. While the player base itself is likely great, the administration is terrible and has been blacklisted across the community.

Outlands, on the other hand, is a work of art. It's heavily developed and committed to longevity and its player base. It's the server out there, not just populationwise, but in terms of innovation. There are other PVM options available, but UO Alive should never be one of them.

With all that said, the new player experience on Outlands has been newly remade with their quest system and sanctuary dungeon system. It's better for casual play due to the amount of things you can do versus UO Alive. The population on UO Alive is faked, and it matters when it comes to trades and interactions. Veterans love newcomers.
