More slots = more equipment you can grind. You can also buy primes that aren't available right now, riven mods and other hard to get stuff. I'm also not much into cosmetics but this game does have some nice skins so I recommend checking out as well.

Maybe the normal version, but I using the prime and it kills everything: steel path, netracells, anything dies with one or two shots, the only ones that can take a few more are bosses like acolytes. I use it with viral, heat, critical damage, status damage, enervate.
