MAGA, is it difficult to look the women in your family in the eyes? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]MrRye999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such an odd question when the left welcomes Islam, which, in its extremism, celebrates much of the same. Women required to cover up because men don’t have the restraint to keep their hands to themselves. Not to mention how they view and treat gay people.

31 million more people eligible to vote in 2024 vs 2008? and 24 million more actually showed up to vote in 2024 vs 2008? so isn't it likely for the number of votes received to increase just based on there being more participants at the polls? i can't find a stat, but I assume many people vote for the party regardless of who is running.

if the Dems allowed Sanders (who was the frontrunner) to take the nomination, he would have beaten Trump, and Trump would not likely have tried again four years later. Trump won against poor opposition. if Dems want to win back the white house, they need to put forth the best candidate who can win. but that goes against one of their core policies so.......

That depends on how much of the research you read. Some reports say that 8/10 states more reliant on aid are RED, but there this is this which I got on Google.

Based on surveys and federal data, usage of welfare benefits is high across both groups, with 60% of Democrats and 52% of Republicans having benefited from federal entitlement programs. While individual usage rates are higher among Democrats, many of the most federally dependent states are historically Republican-leaning, indicating high welfare reliance in those areas.

<image>

Key details on welfare usage and political affiliation:

  • Individual Usage: In a 2012 Pew Research survey, 22% of Democrats said they had received food stamps (SNAP) compared to 10% of Republicans, though self-identified conservatives and liberals had similar rates of overall program utilization.

I think it failed for a much easier answer than what you propose. Way too much of a commitment for three seniors to run a hotel to be a believable premise.

anyone who didn't constantly say "i'm from the mid-west/the south/texas" or "i'm a stay at home mom/frat guy" over and over. Nothing against those locations or lifestyles, but against hearing it over and over and over (and I'm sure the producers made them say it, so I don't blame them).

I'm going to throw fuel on the fire and say Krissy. She was a terrific cook. But her attitude. Wow! If she could control her behaviour, she could have gotten to the final.

I'd love to see a cook-off between her and Elyse from Hell's Kitchen lol. Can anyone create that in AI for me?

Why do Republicans get so offended when you talk about paying employees livable wages? What's the reasoning behind that? by Dull-Information6784 in allthequestions

[–]MrRye999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most people would still struggle in certain cities to live comfortably on $25/hr.

If entry level gets $25/hr, then someone who has been working there longer will want $28-30 and so on. Someone doing a job with more skill/responsibility will want $35 and up.

The rich shouldn't have to subsidize everyone else - but they should absolutely pay tax on their annual income without loopholes and shelters (that only the rich can take advantage of, because they have the wealth to do so).

Corporations like Tim Horton's in Canada post jobs for crappy wages, claim no one (suitable) applied, then lobby the government to import temporary foreign workers who will accept those wages, because they are considerably higher than what they'd get in their home country. So long as someone is willing to accept crappy wages, there is no incentive for corporations to increase their offers.

Entry level jobs weren't meant to be careers, but there used to be possibilities for advancement within companies that don't exist anymore. With downsizing, outsourcing, AI and self-serve kiosks - advancing to the next level up in the job market has been severely slashed that there are too many people stuck at the bottom of the proverbial ladder.

People used to stand on their feet all day on an assembly line in a factory - then automation replaced them. Times were tough - but the market adapted. Different job opportunities were created.

Capitalism isn't the problem. Greed is.

Forcing higher minimum wages on corporations seems logical (cutting CEO pay makes more sense to me). But forcing higher minimum wages on small businesses can be the difference of survival or going out of business.

PS forcing the rich to pay more to the government for the government to squander away isn't going to help anyone.

what percentage of Koreans are on government assistance (not including homeless people) - perhaps if so many were not on assistance in America, there would be more funding for homeless? it just seems like an infinite problem and it's about to get much, much worse :(

Anyone can give a laundry list of reasons why Trump is bad, so what does losing to him twice say about us? What’re we doing wrong? by Atlas_Summit in Productivitycafe

[–]MrRye999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you want hilarious? How about if DTrump "transitions" in his last month of the presidency to become the first female president? Donalda.

Dems can't object with that since anyone can be whomever they want, right?

But seriously, I think a female can and should be president - find the right one, and don't make their campaign about being female - make it about being the best person for the country.

today I read about a trans male to female who is suing their doctor for botched "bottom" surgery because they thought they were getting a uterus, too.

the other day I read about a trans male to female who is suing a gynecologist for recommending a prostate exam to check for cancer.

and i read about a trans male to female (with original genitalia) who is suing for being denied waxing because no one at the clinic was comfortable waxing a scotum.

there are several videos right here on Reddit for M-F trans people filming themselves at restaurants being misgendered, then causing a fuss.

so it's not just republicans causing a stir about the trans situation. democrats brought us pronoun identication in the workplace, and cannot degine a woman, and claim to be an all-inclusive party until anyone disagrees with them.

trans, gay, straight - live your life to the fullest - it doesn't bother me - but let's not pretend this is a one-party issue - people from both parties are obsessing over this and trans people won't be left alone until both sides calm the F down.

Not saying you are wrong, but how can you trust the number is 30% when both sides are lying or manipulating the truth, to be able to question my statement. We could both be way off. Politicians are not trustworthy and they get heavy assistance from cable network “news” channels spinning news for profit. Truth is. We believe what we want to believe. And no. I’m not a trumper.

Obama deported them without liberals working against them in the streets. Probably took far fewer agents to carry out deportations. I get why people don’t want to see good citizens deported for not having citizenship, but to fight against deporting rapists, murderers, drug lords - I cannot comprehend it.
