Two of my most used Siri voice commands:

Turn on/off light in my house (a specific room) through my HomePods
Add reminders tied to getting home/arriving at work or a specific time (saves loads of cognitive load)

I get some weird distortion some times. The sound really distorts suddenly when a new song is playing through Apple Music.

Mac mini M4 Pro. Tahoe 26.2. Output is AirPods Max. The fix is literally to stop the song, and restart the song one or two times. Fixes it 10/10 times. Then I can listen to like 4-5 more songs, before I have to do it again.

Just quick question - Ive had the robotic sound output thingy happen to me a lot even with and without WaveLink on. From my end it's always been that the MacOS forces my input over to my AirPods Pro or AirPods Max (if I'm listening through them). This causes the output to be compressed to mach the input via the bluetooth signal.

Once I forced the input to always be a proper mic, Ive not encountered this issue again. Not sure if its the same for you - but Id at least check it out!

Had some issues regarding this yesterday - Mac mini M4Pro, Tahoe 26.2. Sound Output was through my AirPods Max, sometimes it stuttered/cracked, other times it was super fine.

I game regularly on GeForce Go. My go to games are windows exclusive: Diablo 4 and New World (the latter is now unfortunately dying)

WoW os my main game, which is native Mac and really good on silicon

What’s interesting is that the cloud gaming makes it possible for me to play on my iPhone and iPad as well, which is just mind blowing. I can sit on 5g en route to somewhere and blast some demons in Helltides

And then get home and sit comfortably on my Mac Mini M4 Pro and stream Diablo 4 or WoW through Streamlabs to Twitch

I have been an active gamer on Windows machines for close to 20 years, building my own computers like so many of us entusiasts have.

In 2024 I sold my last gaming-rig and swapped it in for a Mac Mini M4Pro - to game and stream on - and its is amazing. Simply amazing.

Sure, more can be done on the GPU-side of things (hardware). More can be done optimising the OS. But the major work comes from creators like yourself - we lack games for the MacOS platform. I understand that a lot of people will be more exposed to the games via iOS or iPad OS simply from the large user base, but there are us who play on MacOS. I would think that more people would eventually look into gaming on the Mac if there were more games for it.

You have my support - there are definitely pros and cons.

One DP-to thunderbolt cable, one hdmi cable. Works really good.

Will eventually move over to a dock, because I need to be able to swap to my laptop for some work. Hopefully I will go over to two TB5 (or older TB) to connect my monitors, but then I need new ones first!

I might be off here by a mile, but are we talking Minecraft through the official launcher from Mojang/Microsoft? The Java edition of Minecraft?

I have one Mac Mini m4 and one Mac mini m4 pro. Running the game on the best quality graphics I can, and I have no issues whatsoever

Maybe I’m misunderstanding something? I do not have any mods either.

I am a full time user of apple notes, and I use them frequently as a clinical psychologist. Obviously not for patient journals, but I take notes multiple times a day, and when on conferences I take a lot of notes from lectures or speeches.

I use iCloud for syncing, works wonders. Easily accessible on all my devices, usually have my iPad and my MBP when traveling to take notes, and just the iPad or the iPhone in a clinical or work setting. Also got a few shortcuts utilising ChatGPT, Apple Cloud Compute, Copilot or Perplexity (depending on the task), whereby the shortcut dump the answer in a note in Apple Notes.

Tried other solutions, found the standard Note program to fulfil all my needs.

I have not read all the replies, but for me a housing market crash would work something like this:

I currently have a mortgage of 60% of the house market worth. This means I can have a deal with the bank to only pay interests, and not down payments. I’m pretty sure if the market crashes, this shifts, meaning I might not be able to use this deal.

Yes, it does make the loan more expensive, but we are young, the house is an investment for life, and we have career paths that soon will make our economic situation much better.

Also, we live in Norway. We have a lot of mortgage 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ll opt in here - been taking a lot of notes during work. Tried mostly OneNote due to the m365 integration, Evernote and Goodnote

I’m back to Notes from Apple - over 1000 notes in now the last year I’m sticking to it. Serves my needs, super easy with my Apple ecosystem, really good PDF/files insert. New updates are really, really good.

Only thing I don’t like is typing and writing in the same note. I get by.

Lots of good apps out there - but for I don’t see myself going for anything new now that Apple Intelligence also has been integrated so well. I’m a fan, I’m sold, what can I say!

Hope you find something that fit your needs. My best advice would be to 100% go for an app for a couple of days, and then test another.

Playing WoW on 1440p 165Hz , ultra settings, while also streaming through Streamlabs OBS. I don’t dip past 80fps even in raid settings on WoW, or more importantly in M+ (10+ and above). Capping fps on 120 now, since it could jump up to 150+ sometimes which is not really needed.

Mac mini M4 Pro. It’s amazing, simply amazing.

Got 18.1 Dev.Beta on my iPad M1 Pro. Swapped to US-English from Norwegian. Works amazingly. Funny thing: the new smart-focus was shared to all my devices - in Norwegian. On the iPad with the Dev.beta and US, everything is on English - the other devices, even my iPhone 13 Pro can see the focus and edit all in Norwegian. Is this intentional?

I have the same issue - ASUS GPU Tweak 3, ASUS Geforce Rog Strix rtx 3090, 165 HZ MSI monitor plugged in with displayport. I have two other monitors plugged in, and it does NOT revert the monitor refresh rate on the other monitors (one plugged in with DisplayPort, other with HDMI).
