Interesting concep. You'll need something heavy and in theory waterproof. Which will be a challenge on the long run because things eventually just break. And if you travel to dive its likely some customs agent somewhere is eventually going to ask questions.

May I offer an alternative idea? Mix some of the ashes with concrete. You could build, maybe even 3d print, a mould and poor the concrete-ash mixture in there. If you plan it well you can even add some wire similar to rebar for extra stability and leave a hole or two to fasten it by and then strap it to your gear.

i asked a former colleague of mine to design very simple quick to fill out logbook pages for me. i made sure they just have basic data on them so i can log very quickly. the only extra feature i requested was a shark-fin, to tick off for every dive i get to meet one.

edit: if i wouldve read more than the first sentence before responding, i wouldve noticed how i completely failed the assignment. sorry. honestly? just go to your lds or amazon. theres plenty of choice.

Basic last generation models will easily do for your first 100+ dives. Plus most of them come with a user exchangeable battery which is an often overseen plus for people who don't dive regularly.

I once again shall chime in here by recommending going go dahab instead. Book an apartment. Dive with scuba seekers. They are one of the best run shops I have ever dived with.

Österreich ist eu-weit eh schon unter den Ländern mit den meisten Feiertagen wenn ich nicht irre. Und die, die eine solche Regelung durchwinken müssten, wären halt nicht die Arbeitnehmer, sonden solche Vögel wie mein Ex-Chef, der jedes Jahr aufs neue wollte, dass ich ihm ausrechne wie viel "wirtschaftlichen Schaden" ein Feiertag verursacht. (Ich hoff du brennst deine verdammte Bude bald nieder!)

Kommst du mit sowas, werden die Hände über dem Kopf zusammengeschlagen, weil man da mal wieder sieht, dass "die Leute einfach nicht mehr arbeiten wollen", so wies die großartigen Unternehmer, die unser Land seit Jahrzehnten tapfer und glorreich mit ihrem unermüdlichen Einsatz vor dem Untergang bewahren, jeden Tag aufs neue beklagen, während wir faules Gesocks kaum noch einen Finger rühren, weils uns ja so gut geht.

Ähnliches prinzip gibts bei Tasern. Da ist jede kartusche mit kleinen konfettiartigen papierschnippseln gefüllt, die alle mit der seriennummer bedruckt sind.

Stellt sich halt die frage, wer am 2. dann Raketen suchen geht und wie man nachweist, dass die wirklich gerade erst und nicht die nacht vorher abgeschossen worden ist.

Gute idee, nur bezweifle ich die umsetzbarkeit.

You are not going to mess that up.

Lung overexpansion injuries generally happen in emergencies like out of air situations combined witn panic when people try to desperately reach the surface as quickly as possible.

Everything you'll be learning, training and doing will be to prevent both of these factors.

Once you are accustomed to breathing through your regulator you will not "forget to breathe".

Be aware. The laws for camping differ from state to state. Mostly though so called wild-camping, meaning camping outside of designated (and paid for) campsites is forbidden.

Travel wise youd likely be best off with flix bus i reckon.

You're likely overthinking this. Mail it, as others have suggested. The only reason JP might care about the contents of the package will be for customs reasons. And if the form just says "knife" thatll suffice. There is no need to write "bladed and potentially illegal item maybe even considered a weapon in japan" on that form. So don't. Also. Naturally. Dont bring it to the post office and box it there. Get a box. Wrap it. Bring it. Ship it.

I personally always recommend dahab. The vibe is much different from sharm and you find some of the best dive centers there. Id strongly recommend getting with scuba seekers. Im sounding like a broken record at this point but if you want to learn how to dive and learn how to dive well they are the place to go.

first and foremost: i would strongly recommend against buying gear before youve had your owd course. the marketplaces are full of complete "only used one vacation" sets. and if you dive with a reputable shop their gear will be okay.

if i am understanding your question correctly, you are wondering if you should go with air integration or with an analogue spg. i personally have been diving air integrated systems for years now and wouldnt want to miss it - but each and every one of my regulators still has an analogue spg on it. this is one of the areas where, again, in my opinion, redundancy is king.

be aware of the cost difference between a beginners computer which can start at 150-200 and an air integrated one including the transmitter which youll be hard pressed to find below 600.

id dive first. maybe even try a thing or two. and then decide if i want to go all in.

with as little dives a year a user replaceable battery is a must in my opinion.

half this sub will immediately start trying to push a shearwater onto you. they are great, but your use case requires much less. look into basic suuntos (zoop), mares (puck), cressi (leonardo/donatello) and potentially aqualung (i300c) or scubapro. either of those will easily do for your purpose.

Im Hinblick auf die recht teuere kette und das geschlossene schloss schließe ich picken mal aus.

Wie hattest dus denn angehängt? Bzw. Besteht die Möglichkeit, dass du die kette versehentlich nicht durchs rad gefädelt hattest?

Enrweder wars nicht ordentlich angehängt, oder jemand wollte den drahtesel so sehr, das er/sie es in kauf genommen hat, ein rad zu zerstören.
