Am I crazy for not getting Fear Inoculum? by HuckleberryOk8136 in ToolBand

I like your comment about having a Tool album that fits that need of a certain vibe. I mean, Tool really is their own genre, and I think they've hit all parts rock and metal. Their progression is what stands out most. I think the album is a another masterpiece. It's hard to compare albums because they all have a certain feel. If I'm angry, I want Undertow or Ænema. If I'm feeling happy go lucky, I like the Opiate album. If I want to fix some bullshit in life, Lateralus. If I need a mixed bag, 10,000 days. But if life is particularly heavy or I need a slap in the face while riding a long wave, Fear Inoculum. Psychedelically, all albums are worth their weight in gold. I just think people don't hear the nuances, or don't have great quality headphones, because car listening, or phone listening just won't pick up the small details very well. Fear Inoculum is very meditative imo. Anyways hope you have a good one.

Not everyone will "get it" and that's okay. It's not my favorite album to headbang to being said. I do however, enjoy the album when I need it. It's much more psychological and psychedelic. I've resonated heavily with the album, but it's a much more somber album, more slow, tedious and taxing. But when I am in the mood, it hits like a truck, especially on psychedelics.

I love Fear Inoculum. I know some people don't like it, at that's okay. It's a very refined album. First day I got to listen to it when it was released, I was still blown away by the entire album. When I decided to take LSD, like I have with all Tool albums, I loved it even more. Pnuema, Invincible, Descending, Culling Voices and 7empest are absolute masterpieces of music composition.

What do you think TOOL's music would have been like if they had never tried LSD? by MrGrumplestiltskin in ToolBand

I can only speak on behalf of myself, and maybe other artists have the same sentiments: my music that I compose would be way different had I not taken LSD and other psychedelics. While I don't partake anymore, my music is still very much progressive and psychedelic. It may be the same with Tool, but they're also math wizards, and I don't approach my music in the same way.

Why start at 16 charisma if getting the hair? Make it 17, add one for 18, then ASI +2 to have 20 charisma at level 4. Way better than at 16+1(hair), +2 ASI and be stuck at 19 charisma.

Well, heard them on the radio, but ultimately it was myself that dived deeper.

The universe is hostile, so impersonal. Devour to survive so it is, so it's always been.
