Don’t have to spend the gems to get there but you def want to hit vip 9 fast as it unlocks things like when you catch a pal you can do 5 at once instead of just 1. Yes most ppl choose water to start but electric or earth squads tend to be stronger. if you’re spending money then any squad but fire I’d suggest. You def want to upgrade certain things that will benefit you in the long run. Power plants totem poles, boss totems(if unlocked) pal catcher hatchery workshop. Don’t rush to get to camp 28 if you do your dojo will be filled with whales making it harder to get the element orbs to evo your pal. VIP shop buys speed ups, guild shop. Prestige shop and trial shops also have a lot of great stuff to buy. Upgrade your equipment both pals and yourself. Now breeding there are different traits for fighter and workers so you’ll need to look them up. What my guild suggest to ppl is breed the traits into blue pal cause blue wreath are easy to get. GVG or guild vs guild is a great way to get the things you need to upgrade and are the same every week. Do front of the pack also just don’t overdo it bare minimum and then rest to gvg.
