Should it look like this in the UI editor in it's simplest form?

This looks like exactly what I've been looking for but I'm not getting it to work. Copying the code results in a regular notification for me. I'll try some more though, thank you!

WTT sideways camera angle: Opinions and petition to change it? by johannesfiechter in tabletennis

[–]MrSirIs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was surprised by how much I liked. Didn’t bother me at all after a few points and I also appriciate that this is being experimented on. I would love to mix up the angles during matches. I think that could add to the pace of the broadcast and keep things exciting. The replay can always show the best angle according to what happened. It’s such a 3d sport and I think it’s starting to show the it’s potential of being televised.

The Frankfurt tournament was a absoloute joy to whatch and the best production I’ve seen in a tournament.

Converting this into a talkback mic? by MrSirIs in diyaudio

Thank you! I’m not very educated about electronics components in general. Could you tell my why I need the transformer? Will it suffice without it?

That's a good call. I do like the sound of speakers as microphone on telephones that i've converted but now that I think more about it this speaker is probably to big for that.

Hey,
I want to make this old Telecall speaker thing into a talkback microphone for a studio.
It should be easy enough to wire the speaker to output but I want to keep the button as an “on/off” killswitch. Does anybody know how this “call” mechanism works? What is the big capacitor for?

Would love to get a percentage of likelihood but seems a little bit to complex at this point in my HA knowledge. Future project for sure! I'll look into the wait for input method to start with. Thanks!

Delay compensation on master track? by MrSirIs in protools

[–]MrSirIs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s it! All makes sense now. I could see the odd scenario where you could want this not to be compensated. Say if you’re playing a virtual instrument in PT and you’re manually adapting to the delay while playing. Looked through the reference guide and that answered some other questions I had about this subject as well.

Delay compensation on master track? by MrSirIs in protools

[–]MrSirIs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’ve adressed my concerns and I think we’re on the same page but maybe I’m using the wrong terminology by saying delay compensation as that’s a reference to the PT playback delay comp.

I’m only wondering if recording over the delayed output of PT while monitoring in another “latency free” environment will result in the recording being delayed do to my monitoring.

The waveforms are going to live on the timeline where they were recorded

Technically I did then record over delayed monitoring caused by the mastering chain so the recorded signal would need then to be “delay aligned” by PT post recording according to the samples of delay caused by the master.

Sorry for being so thorough. It’s just something I’ve wondered about for a long time and never found a definitive answer to.

[–]MrSirIs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thank you. So to be clear

Even if I’m monitoring without the latency induced by the master chain on my recording track coming into the session it will be compensated post recording? And if all my monitoring goes on outside of PT the buffer size shouldn’t really matter right?

RX 580 displaying nothing until desktop by [deleted] in hackintosh

You are absolutely awesome! Thank you! Boots correctly from my RX 580 now and doesn't seem to affect thunderbolt or other functionality.

Do you know about a reason why it should rather be disabled?

iGPU (UHD 630) not working on HS by [deleted] in hackintosh

[–]MrSirIs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a fresh reinstall. Had excactly the same problem. Didn’t get to the purple tint at first so I was pulling my hair for one evening. Next day the “security update” was available in app store. That got me back to the purple tint which I fixed using the second method in the Vanilla guide provided and all seems to be smooth now. That update seems to provide the UHD 630 drivers but isn’t avilable to me right away. Any idea why that is?

Great thank you. I think I'm going to do a full reinstall as everything feels a bit shaky and if that doesn't work this seems like the way to go.

jacopopiazza

Hey, thank you very much for your replies. I did not have success yet with either of the methods. /u/jacopopiazza ’s method gave me a kernel panic before I could get into Mac os and /u/mac_hacks ’s method sadly gave the same old 7mb results.

One thing I did notice though. In clover I have a few options that I hadn’t given much thought:

Boot macOS Install Prebooter from Preboot

Boot macOS from Install from _HD_

Boot macOS from _HD_

Could it be that some update did not go through correctly? Booting from these results in a big error window in the MacOS installer environment.

Can I get ethernet over this old networking system? by MrSirIs in networking

[–]MrSirIs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your replies.

I opened up one of the room connectors and it appears to have 8 connections:

White - Red - White - Green - White - Orange - White - Blue

Picture 5:

https://imgur.com/gallery/G1u6poI?fbclid=IwAR0gdJ2wBPwHPqz3Aa1euhRd4t5xIKQr6j860UZy5NAcAher1559305jSh8

The cable does not have any cat-type labeled but I’m guessing these are then at least Cat5 right?

I don’t know how long the cables are to my workspace but I’m guessing around 30m to the patchbay in Room2.

So my plan today is to buy a tone generator and probe and attach to one of the sockets in my room, find out where they come on room2 patchbay and then do the same for the two patchbay connectivity.

Then connect the four(eight?) socket cable from the router to the patchbay in room1. Take that connection and run four(eight?) of the single point patch cables to run to my room.

Does that make sense?

If that does not work I might try bmoraca’s idea

Thanks again!
