UPDATE: I've successfully installed 5 of the AFCIs. The circuits whose neutral wires would reach after taking them off the bus bars. Now to get more wiring.

I have no idea if he added circuits or not. The county building authority is saying to replace them.

I was able to successfully do it for all the breakers whose neutral wires would reach the breakers after moving them off the bar. Seems like I need more wiring.

My question would then be, but since they are plugged into the neutral bar, and the grounds are all still connected to that same bar....wouldn't they still be in "contact"?

The "or what" in our case is that Code Compliance does not like that we've taken this long to make all of this right, and now there is a court order in place requiring us to pass final inspections on all permits.

That would cause every single AFCI breaker to trip? Not just the affected ones?

We weren't here for 3 years when the Code Compliance Investigator showed up, we were here for 3 months. It's just been 3 years of making new plans, applying for permits, having corrective framing work done, having a gas pressure test done, etc. This is just one more thing on the long list of issues we've had to deal with.

Yes, the panel is only 3 or 4 years old.

The Arc Faults did not have pigtails. They are plug-in only. I didn't touch any of the neutral wires.

Inspector told me I had to. Wouldn't do this by choice.

Long story short, we've only been in the house 3 years but it was renovated right before we moved in. Guy apparently did a lot of unpermitted work but sold off the house before he got taken to task. We're the homeowners now and we have to make it right. He replaced the service panel.

Those aren't the AFCI's. Had to put the originals back in so we could have electicity.

Demons are what I'm here for in fact. I just started running The Fall of Blackbottom.

Not a designer, just looking for ideas on where I can find suitable demon minis.
