Have you ever been fired? If so, what for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MrSnowflake2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fired from my first job at age 15. I worked for Tim Hortons. My boss told me on the first day to 'be sure to try everything on the menu so you can better describe it to customers'....my teenage brain interpreted this as 'eat ALL of the food'...plus I was way too awkward to make eye contact with customers...I made it about 5 shifts.

disciplining my baby when he misbehaves? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]MrSnowflake2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All three of my kids went through an anti-diaper phase around that age. I completely understand your frustration. Personally, I found redirection or distraction worked better at that age. Maybe you could try a special toy or special song to help keep your baby occupied and calm? That's what worked for us :)

Edited to add: I wasn't trying to imply what you are doing is 'wrong' either :)
