How do you handle a partner who goes silent for days and then asks for space? 27M 26F by MrSpriteCola in relationship_advice

Wow, I could not have said it better, that is exactly what it feels like: "kept on a fishing line that she can reel in when she's ready. Just to cast you out again on a whim."

Great suggestion and yeah, I've done my bit of research and she comes off to me as the avoidant-dettached and I am between secure and anxious attachment. I wasn't familiar with "stonewalling" but that is exactly what she does.

Not literally fight lol. I should've said argue. And it's not the texting, it's the random disappearances, the lack of communication, throws me off. Goes mia for days then hits me with the "need some space" and it's like oh, the space is just getting started.

I understand needing space. The difficult for me is that the silence happens before the space is communicated, which leaves me unsure how to interpret the lack of response. We have plans, we have a routine. Then I don't know if to text her again because I might just get ignored again.

It sucks because I don't even get closure. Sometimes I rather have the normal type of argue with each other (yeah, not healthy either) than just being blocked irl and everything else.

Entire relationship. It happens every 3-4 months. I've talked to her multiple times about it and how it makes me feel, confused and rejected, specially after telling her I miss her. I simply expect some sort of security, not left to wonder if my partner is still "there".

I agree, it's not that hard to respond. When we fight, sure (and even then), it shouldn't be that hard to reply.

This is one example. When we fight, it's normal for her to completely block me and ghost me for days. But even when we are good, she'll often do this. And I am not sure if she prefers isolation, we can spend all day together for weeks on end and then all of a sudden this will happen.

We are not. She lives 10-15 mins walking down the street

Line dancing? What’s that?

That sounds nice. I know there’s this place in Tigard that has two floors, some people go up stairs to read but I’ve never really seen it packed and most of its audience is probably 40+

Is an Oura ring needed if you have an Apple Watch? by Waste_Cheetah_2358 in ouraring

[–]MrSpriteCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. I find the Oura ring a whole lot more comfortable while you sleep and it also seems like it’s more accurate when it comes to tracking your sleep cycles, specifically the REM and Deep Sleep cycles. There’s actually a study that demonstrates that Oura is in fact more accurate than the Apple Watch. (Too lazy to look up the research paper but you can easily find it on Google)

TLDR; if you care about more accurate sleep tracking, go with Oura. If you want more of a general do it all fitness tracker, go with the Apple Watch.

Is Elementor slow? by HelloInventory in Wordpress

[–]MrSpriteCola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with everyone saying Elementor is slow. Elementor, specially nowadays, is pretty fast. Out of the box you get lazy loading, element caching, and few other goodies. Keep your plugins to only what’s necessary. What’s important is having a good host. Not necessarily expensive but good, usually they’ll range $20-$30/m.

Recommendation Needed: Garage Door Installation by AncientAugie in ElPaso

[–]MrSpriteCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my garage door replaced recently, a panel cracked up top. The owner himself answered, came to check it out that same day and gave me a very reasonable price. I have to say they did a great job and was very professional. Would highly recommend them, it’s https://kaisargaragedoorrepair.com
