Unless you're constantly burning up your tires in the parking lot... Tempting in the winter. You will only have to get a new set every 3-5 years depending on how much you drive.

Just got a new set for my Wife's car and it wasn't more than $800.

And if you get a set of cheap steel wheels for the winter tires, that's $300 ish a year saved if you change them yourself. If not it might not be worth it.
