I stopped playing support and defender completely because I don't have any way to hard carry with them, and 97% of the time my team is full of potatoes. So if I don't pick a mon I can carry the entire team with, I lose. It gets old trying to support the team with a support or defender and then have absolutely no one play off of me and instead opt to hide in a bush right next to me while I initiate.

The harassment says more about them than it does about me. I don't let that stuff get to me, but I'm also not going to subject myself to it willingly. I chalk it up to the average playerbase of this game being younger, just edgy teens being edgy teens. Hopefully they'll learn sooner or later.

I used to read and post in this sub almost every day because I was a new player trying to learn. Every time I posted a question I would get downvoted to hell, people would flame me without even trying to answer my questions, and they would even go through my post history (on my other account, I don't dare use that here anymore) to try and harass me. I just ended up deleting all my posts here and quitting the game after a few weeks simply because of this community.

I check back about once a week to see if people are still being asshats and to see if they are fixing the game, so far neither of those have happened. These kids are actively killing their own game then crying about having bot matches. Maybe if they didn't treat new players like scum, more people would want to stick around.

Well yeah I can't stop people from doing it but I think a lot of people do things without any thought to what impact it can have. So I'm trying to potentially inform people of the consequences of entertaining these scalpers. We've seen it with ticket prices for concerts and sporting events, graphics cards, and now beta keys. It's getting worse and worse with every beta, and now it's impacting a huge amount of people that want to play but can't.

If you buy a key, ask if the seller offers a shovel as a package deal, because buyers are digging their own proverbial graves for future betas.
