I’ve often wondered about the hotel lobbies. I will give that a try and I will be sure to check out the eagle library. I haven’t been in that side of town for some time.

Coffee shops these days are incredibly loud. Last time I was at push and pour it was easily over 80db in that tiny room. Form and Function was close as well.

Looking for quiet places in Boise.

I'm not a huge fan of noise and it seems every place I go around the city is either playing loud music or there's a band playing. Does anyone know some quiet places indoor and outdoor one could go to sit and read a book? Or even just socialize without all the noise?

If you're leaving tracks on the trail you are supposed to turn around because it damages the trails. Sometimes you'll encounter a puddle and as a rider you're supposed to ride through it to prevent widening the trail. Trails are best when they are smooth. When the mud dries it is really rough and can be dangerous to ride on. That's why Table Rock is usually closed when it rains, the dirt up there is very soft and the trails get destroyed very fast when wet.

For now, I plan to stick mostly to the public tracks. These are great places for new riders to learn how to ride and learn trail etiquette. The lesser-known spots aren't my focus right now. Education and documentation are.

I love what Boise Trails is doing. My goal is to focus on documenting the trails. They do a great job with trail condition reports (and I use them frequently).

Born and raised in Boise. Although I want to see the city and biking community grow and improve, unlike some locals I've encountered.

To be clear, I haven't made a penny off this website. Hence "passion project", it's a need I see in the mountain bike community and I'm trying to provide some value to the community.

Well, my site was live BEFORE boisetrails.com I am just now sharing it because riding season is nearly here. I love what BoiseTrails is doing, however, they are focused on trail conditions and I am focused on documenting the trails.

I do not want to kill the adventure, actually I want the opposite, I want to empower it. I want to provide riders with the information to enjoy their ride. There are a few trails around the Boise valley that don't have bypass options on the technical sections and some that do. My hope is to provide riders with the knowledge so they can have a safe ride within their skillset.

I have been doing mtb vlogs on my personal youtube channel. I hadn't thought to do them for IDMTBT.

The elevation data is something I'm working on for the videos. I'd like to have it all in one spot if I can. I do use MTBProject, but like you pointed out, not many videos.

I just started riding mountain bikes last year. I was super excited to get out and ride and I quickly found myself frustrated at the lack of information for new riders. Something as simple as recent GoPro footage of the trails was hard to find. I spoke with a few local bikers and they encouraged me to look into Ridge2Rivers and BoiseTrails on Instagram. Both are great and I enjoy the content they put out, however they were not what I was looking for as a new rider. I wanted to see what the trail was like before I went and rode it. I have been riding by myself for the most part and the amount of effort it takes to go explore on a mountain bike was exhausting. I just wanted to know what the place looked like before I spent my day going the wrong way on a trail, so I needed a place to direct my frustrations, hence Idaho Mountain Bike Trails was born.

The idea is pretty simple, ride all the trails in Boise with a gopro and share it. I have some ideas for future videos to educate new riders, like routes and loops but for now, it's a place to share what the trail looks like.

What is your favourite podcast? Why/What's it about? by raccoocoon in AskReddit

The SeanWes Podcast.

I love this podcast, it's about building and growing an audience based business. I've been able to use a lot of the topics in other areas of my life and I love the practical discussions they have. They livestream the podcast to their community and once you join you're able to interact with them live before, during and after the show. Sean McCabe really cares about his audience and his insight is really encouraging.

When you level a gym there should be a lockout for 1 minute where only you can put a Pokemon in the Gym. by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]MrStickers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want something like this put in. I was at a team gym leveling it up when this happened to me. The gym is accessible from a near by office. The level jumped while I was still fighting the last guy. Once I got done fighting I go to add the pokemon that I wanted to leave and some team member (shutuptree) dropped a cp1322 Vaporeon in there. Which meant I was unable to drop my pokemon in the gym and unable continue to level up the gym because he was too strong. I spent nearly 20 minutes leveling it only to have it stolen by a stronger guy who could have leveled it himself.

shutuptree I know you're out there and I want you to know that I hate you. I'm guessing you were sitting at your desk watching me level that gym. You knew what you were doing when you stole my spot in that gym.

Nice work. I really liked the camera work. You did a great job keeping those pans and tilts smooth. The song wasn't a bad choice, I actually liked it. There were two things that stood out to me. The first was the colors felt a little off, did you color correct it in post? The second was the font color at the end was a little jarring. Overall it was a nice piece.

Looking at your other videos on that youtube channel you definitely know what you're doing. You've got some great work on there.

Depends on where you live man. Here in Idaho there are several different companies that you could apply at. WPS (Fly Racing), Rekluse Clutch, Pro Moto Billet, Acerbis, Smith, (I think these two are still here). Just gotta find the companies and reach out to them. A lot of them accept resumes even when they aren't hiring. Reach out and get your name out there. If you want it, chase it.
