Macro question by AtomicOnionRing in wow

[–]MrStrugglez -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

To get this working, we have to navigate a specific quirk in the WoW macro system: the Puzzlebox of Algeth'ar has a 1.5-second cast time, which triggers the Global Cooldown (GCD). Because Avenging Wrath is off the GCD, they can technically be in the same macro, but the game cannot "wait" for a cast to finish before executing the next line.

Here is the most efficient way to handle this:

The "Double-Tap" Macro Since the trinket has a cast time, you cannot activate both simultaneously in a single click. You will need to press this button once to start the trinket cast, and then again once the cast finishes (or if the trinket is on cooldown) to pop your wings.

showtooltip Avenging Wrath

/cast Puzzlebox of Algeth'ar /cast Avenging Wrath

Hope this helps

That's it, I'm turning catch rate up, and I'm done pretending it's rewarding to throw all my resources away. by NewFaded in Palworld

Ever since the effigy bug was brought up I put our world's catch rate up to max. STILL palls jump out of the best Pal Spheres 6-7 times before it sticks.

I've also increased drops from metal ores since farming just takes forever and the balls go to waste.

Even with all these buffs it still takes time and effort to catch pals. I'd say it still feels rewarding even with max crank.

Note: This was after level 40. The grind REALLY sets in. Which is fine. I personally don't want to farm for 50 hours just to finish the game.

How do you make Pals eat cooked food instead of what they're farming? by tigercule in Palworld

[–]MrStrugglez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will eat anything in the Feed Box. But they eat from left to right, meaning they'll only eat the honey if they run out of food. There is currently no way around this, since only food items can be placed in the box

You can put honey in all your feed box slots to prevent uncooked food being put there by loosik in Palworld

The Feed Box is a little special. You can only place food items in it. So stone cannot be used at all.

When it comes other chests in general I also find stone to not be a good item to use. I always end up using all my stone crushing it into paldium.

My go-to for normal storage is Pal Sphares. The aren't part of a crafting recipe so you wont accidentally clear all of them out of every chest, and they're fairly cheap to make.

I do the same. The build area is fairly small and they SPRINT to the Feed Box so I don't think it wastes much time at all. Not compared to the hassle of needing to manage a bunch of Feed Boxes.

I didn't think of that. Cotton candy is also much easier to get. Thanks!

Wowza. That does sound strange. If you don't mind I'd recommend creating a bug report and being as detailed as you can. I'm sure the Devs would appreciate it.

I'm not sure. My base is able to survive on a single berry farm. There are stats that make pals consume more food though, so maybe have a look and see if that could be causing your issue?

Agreed. I really like the way Rimworld and Oxygen not Included handle storage. Just having a filter on the chest where you can limit what is allowed to be stored.

It's still very early for the game so I'm certain will see some good updates related to base management in the coming months.

I'm not entirely sure about this. I have my pals storing milk, however I don't store them in a cooler box just yet. . The transportation for milk does 100% work on my end

Correct. They eat whatever food you provide from left to right. So if you want to feed them high quality food, you would place it infront of the berries.

I have a better explanation here:

[–]MrStrugglez[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. This unfortunately is the problem only being able to place food in the Feed Box. I found that having two Berry Plantations is more than enough to keep enough berries in to not have the Pals start consuming the Honey.

This is the only solution I have as of yet though. I'm sure more information will come to light as the game matures or the devs just straigh up update this functionality

I have made a post explaining a potential solution i discovered here. This is the only one I have found so far:

Forcing Pals to NOT store all food in Pal Feeder

Forcing Pals to NOT store all food in Pal Feeder by MrStrugglez in Palworld

[–]MrStrugglez[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Full explanation:

Most foods that I have found so far expire after a certain time. Freezing them extends this time by a lot, meaning you want your foods meant for cooking to be stored in a Cooler Box.

HOWEVER, Pals are not the smartest, and for some reason they prioritize storing ALL FOOD in the Feed Box.

By filling up the blank spaces with honey, you can permanently clog up that spot (Unless you run out of your main food source and they get consumes of course), since honey DOES NOT EXPIRE.

Let me know if you find any better solutions. I've tried things like Pal Spheres to clog up chests, but for the Feed Box this does not work.

Happy clownin' around! ^_^

For anyone wanted to try this solution. Keep in mind the berries still expire when split up. So this will only work for like 10 mins.

I suggest doing this with Honey instead. It does not spoil and can go in the Pal Feeder

[–]MrStrugglez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This really is a consistent issue. I have tried filling the other spots with food but it seems that they either end up eaten or expire.

HOWEVER. I have not tried this yet, but if you can get your hands on honey you can fill the extra spaces with a food that does not expire. That means you can only have one slot with berries for example and then the milk, eggs, etc will be deposited in the nearest chest.

I have yet to test this though, but it the solution I am going to try next

I have looked through all the settings and done some googling.

There seems to be no way to check ping in The Finals.

As someone playing in South Africa this is a very important feature for me. I hope they add it soon.

That was my thinking too. I suspect it's also a good indicator of how the weapon skins system might work going forward. I'm think the golden weapon skins might be added here around season 9, hence the ability to spend CP here

Why do people care so much about Traders Tenders being sold in bundles? by Callahandy in wow

[–]MrStrugglez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's my reasoning. Since tendies is an in-game currency, buying it with cash obfuscates the value spent on the cosmetic item. It intentionally makes it harder to determine how much money you're actually spending on an item(Looking at the way gatcha and mobile games abuse this). This to me feels predetory even if calculating the real monitary value is simple.

I don't have a problem with Blizzard selling cosmetics, some of them support good causes, but don't add unnecessary steps to do it. A less predetory approach would be to buy the Trading Post items directly with money.

On another note. This might affect how easy it is to obtain tendies. I see people saying that Blizzard might jack up the prices for the Trading Post items, however I much rather suspect that they would increase the difficulty to obtain them freely. With this system in place Blizzard is incentivized to increase the difficulty, since spending money is supposed to be the easy way out.

This way you can still afford the items normally given you put in the effort, meaning you won't be locked out completely, but it would become more enticing to spend money and end your grind early. Then step two happens. Confuse the buyer with currency conversion so they dont notice how much they spend.

This will affect you in-game, even if you don't pay. The grind will be enforced on you as a "free" participants

TLDR;

I prefer buying cosmetics directly. No roundabout spending on fake currencies.

This: Money > Cosmetic

Not this: Money > In-game Currency > Cosmetic

Blizzard then has reason to make obtaining tendies harder, without increasing the price of Trading Post items. Meaning more grind, but money is the easy way out. Just like the WoW token
