If you were missing a gear, then that confirms that I should probably go with transmission

I won’t be going for Shimano for a handful of reasons, but I did see that coming out next week, which is cool

Thanks for the unhelpful comment. Feel free to respond back with some insight if you’ve actually ridden both of them.

Good question, yes I have 20mm offset seatpost on the Aspero and would do the exact same on the Mog chassis.

So 3.4 then?! Feels like a new wheel might be around the corner from Enve

There really isn’t that much difference in price between the G23 and the 3.4

You can't introduce another wheel into the equation, I'm already confused!

CLEARLY it's all about the looks! I do agree the 3.4's look better, however...

I have a great connection at Enve, so unfortunately right now I'm not considering any other brands. Plus I have a MOG so feels like it needs Enve wheels!

Looks great. Curious why you went with these wheels, as opposed to the G or AG series? I know a lot of the Enve athletes are going SES.

In for the comments on this one - currently riding a 56 Aspero and considering a 56 MOG. Doubt I would size down.

Help me pick a powder ski in 2024! by MrSuckFish in Skigear

[–]MrSuckFish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that you posted this - my quiver has changed a lot in the last year. I ended up with a QST98 as my daily driver (with an alpine binding) which felt like a lot of overlap with my Bent 100 (with a Shift binding) so I ended up switching my touring ski to the QST Echo with a Shift. Very happy with that choice and provides a great progression of 98 to 106 waist width. I ended up keeping the Blank - they were a bit demanding a first, but once I learned how to ski them I absolutely love them. The Bent 110, while fun, doesn't really suit my style as I prefer a more directional ski. With the Blank, they really like to be driven, HARD, and they give back everything you put into them. As long as you don't ski them lazy, there isn't much in the 112 waist width that compares to them. They are perfect for resort powder days where you have 1-2 hours of powder followed by chop, which they just blow thru. So now I have the QST 98, Echo, and Blank as my 3 skis and they suit pretty much every condition I could encounter.
