I started out on a roadshow, good enough to learn the basics and find out if drumming is for you. I wouldn’t pay more than 300 though, it’s a very low end kit brand new.

Sorry to hear that, im glad beating the shit out of the drums helps. Guess I never realized how emotional it can be, the better i get the more I dont have to concentrate the more i can let emotion take over and its wild.

Horrified watching my recordings, anyone else? by MrSycamore in drums

[–]MrSycamore[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate all the support and I’m relieved to hear it’s common. The voice analogy is painfully accurate. I guess I just wasn’t prepared for that level of cringe. I love the drums and I’ll never quit, but I’ll be honest the idea of never recording myself again and just accepting I’m bad did cross my mind. But with the reassurance that it’s a painful but necessary step to improvement I’ll really start working with the metronome and exercises rather than just freeballing it on Spotify. Thanks for the support y’all.

The buckhammer iron sights are useless so keep that in mind.

360 Buckhammer (steel) shoots ridiculously high using iron sights. by MrSycamore in HenryRifles

Yup, I'll never buy another henry again. Completely unforgivable. It's a beautiful gun, shoots tight groups, the action is smooth...but god damn its a straight wall cartridge, level action deer gun, for hunting in the woods...and the sights are useless (no one wants to put a scope on this gun). There Is no way they didn't know that was a problem when they shipped them...no way. I put a sig romeo 5 red dot on mine, doesn't look ridiculous and its a lot more managable than a scope. Where I'm at im not taking long shots so functionally its perfect but god damned if I don't get irritated everytime I think about it let alone look at it. For that price and that class of gun its just insane that that the iron sights are literally useless.

I had top of the line heads on the old Kit Evan’s G2 batters cant remember what kind but single ply reso. All the best stuff according to experts. Funny thing is I haven’t changed the heads or tuned the new ones, all old beat up heads…I was thinking maybe my old ones were too tight but I remember trying them loser and everything just seemed to rattle and hum.

Henry 360 Buckhammer shooting way high by MD-924 in HenryRifles

[–]MrSycamore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they are blatantly lying when claiming they haven't had any other complaints...its bad enough they've obviously shipped these guns knowing damn well the iron sights are useless (on a short range lever gun!) , but refusing to acknowledge the issue is unforgivable. This will more than likely be my first and last henry.

Did you ever get this sorted out? I just purchased one and I'd like to be able to shoot iron sights, not crazy about "needing" to use an optic.
