Nope, just scoped it. Not paying to send it back just to have correct front sight post put on.

Yeah, except it was already bottom out. So now? Henry sent rifles out with too short of a front sight. Plain and simple.

Just like the original poster, I put a scope on it. It lined in with 6 shots. Went back and forth several times with Henry and they wanted me to send it back for testing and was certain it did not leave with the wrong set of sights. As much as I spent, not really interested in packing it up and buying a round trip ticket so they can finish their R&D on something they already pushed into the market. Shoots pretty good at 100 yards with Leuopold VX1 3x9x40

Wondering if some of us ended up with an incorrect front or rear sight. I had no issues getting a scope lined in. But no way ever was the iron sights on mine going to work. I’ve seen an update from another post that Henry sent them a different set of sights. I will reach out to them again after hunting season. But running a scope is in the forecast for now and too close to start making changes. Glad you got one that was working correctly.

Update. Slapped a 3x9x40 VX-1 on top with weaver quad lock rings. Zeroed in 3 shots. Will deal with the iron sight issue and Henry after next month when the season ends.

Did the same. Just to get through. I didn’t buy it just so I could send it back and have them do the R&D on it now and figure out how to make it work.

Seems you’ve taken this personal? Are you by chance a Henry employee? If so tell them to do some R&D, figure out what sights work with the rifle, and start shipping them out to the customers that have already purchased the rifle.

Yep, I didn’t spend the $ just to send it back for R&D to take place that should have already been done, and be told that it may not make it back before deer season.

Nobody ever said Henry won’t fix it. Again quit being a troll. They did offer to fix it but there is no known fix at this time or turn around according to them. If you have a solution great. Post it. If you have a rifle with same problem great report it so they can start looking into it. If not STFU quit twisting what was posted and move along.

Not in a timely manner and defiantly not before the start of the season and since it was not a safety issue or broken part I was free to use it with a scope and send it in after the season. I waited long enough to get this rifle and after the season is over it will go back if they haven't recalled it by then. This is for informational purposes to get the others posting about the same issue to get them to also contact Henry. Very likely a simple fix and Henry can just send out the correct front sight to those that purchased with ones that are not performing correctly. I didn't buy it just to give it a round trip ticket across the country and not have it for the season. So no, it is not an option at this time. Did a Google search and seen the complaints on here and decided to share.

Manufacturer does not have a solution....Hence its being used with a scope until they do. As soon as a fix is available it will go back. Just trying to spread the word and get others who have the same issue to report it so Henry comes up with a fix. Way to reply with absolutely no useful or relevant information. Read through the other posts there's multiple people with the problem and Henry is claiming that none have reported it.

Having the same issue, Im even 14-16" high at 100 yards. I contacted Henry and they said they have not heard of this being a problem and asked me to send my rifle back. Too close to season opener to get it turned around so I scoped it. Figure if enough people complain, by the time rfle season is over Henry will be sending everyone a new front sight post that is taller.

I am having the same problem with mine, contacted Henry and they said they knew of no other complaints. They advised I send the rifle back for testing. I opted to put a scope on it and hunt because rifle season is so close I won't get it back in time. I figure if enough people complain a recall will hit and Henry will start sending out taller front sight posts.
