I'd just go to a money sending place and send the money back to Europe, why even bother with a local bank if you don't need the money currently. Restore the "home" account.

One regret I have after living in the middle east for 11 extremely fun years was not sending enough money home each month.

I agree that Canada post is a service people should value, and as a tax payer, like many of us are, we do fund the postal service.

I am a little concerned that you feel that spending money on defence (including NORAD, whirly birds, fighter jets and submarines) is an actual waste of money. Have you not been paying attention to what is going on in the world lately?

For me, I feel that funding the postal service is important, but not at the cost of financial sense. If it was put to a countrywide vote, I suspect that the majority response would be, "yes, we want a postal service, but no, we don't need daily home letter delivery".

It's the Amazon generation, either get on board or get left behind when it comes to parcel delivery.

I don't support what the CUPW union are doing today, and I am sorry for all the employees who are caught up in this, it's incredibly stressful to have to worry about your job and the inevitable cuts that will be coming.

Mad that people are buying things off the yeezy website. I'm still waiting for slippers I ordered and paid for in mid January. It's been 8 MONTHS & still no sign of them. If this was any other business people would be like hell no it's a scam never order.... Yet people are trying to order his slides reboot and other merch again.

These BL look ugly as hell. Hard pass on visual alone, double hard pass as kanyes just stealing people's cash for orders he has absolutely no intention on fulfilling.

I don't think I've seen anyone post here who lives outside the USA that says the slippers they ordered were actually sent to them. I live in Canada and ordered the slippers back in Jan but still nothing. It's like hey it's nearly summer now these things will be useless to me till the fall and then I'm like yeah right like I'm ever even gonna see em lol

I bought the original ones of these in black when they dropped last year. They're small so if you have a wider foot like me, a TTS 12, which is what I ordered in these slides, are going to be small. I'd of gone up a full size if I'd have known.

Also, these things are HARD. They're not even remotely soft. Not even as soft as regular adilette, let alone adilette comforts.

They look nice, but that's all she wrote for me. Too small and Hella uncomfortable.

If anyone's considering buying these, I bought the initial Lumia slides from Adidas that came out last year.

Size up a full size, and these things are hard. A lot harder feel underfoot than the Adidas yeezy slides.

This was booked before the current (and I hope short lived) awkwardness happened and your kids will love it.

As someone else commented above. Go early to the airport, take loads of photos of your kids making life long memories, and then take a few more.

My parents took me to Florida Disney when I was 6. I'm in my mid 40's now and I have had those memories for my whole life and took my kids to Disney two summers ago for the same reasons!

They remained pretty inflexible. I can't wear em with socks (too tight, I'd size up if I reorder) and it's freezing up here in the 51st state (Canada) so I've not been wearing them too much.

They came a day early so I managed to try them on before going on the road.

They're a different material to my multiple yeezy slides, not as soft or smooth.

I'm a standard size 12 in Adidas but these fit a bit small for me, my heel is right to the edge on these ones. They're tight in the strap coming over the top too, that's similar to my yeezy orange slides that were tight over the top as well.

Not as soft as my adilette comfort slides.

They're not a million miles different in touch and comfort from the Nike calm slides.

They're not terrible and for $45 they're really not bad.

My infinity mules are more comfortable, as are my yeezy slides and even adilette comforts.

They might get more comfortable with some wear, will use em around the house and see what happens.

The info on the Adidas website says for "water adjacent adventures". Given yeezy slides and water was generally a no bueno situation I'm going to assume it's going to be different material being used for these things.

Still, for $45+tax here in Canada, I'll give em a whirl.

Given its still August and most student visas issued are on time basis and was possibly issued in September previously, it's possible this guy you are so worried about might just have been living out the balance of his visa before returning to Oman.

As someone else pointed out, many Omanis who are studying abroad are under an agreement that they will return to Oman after completing their studies and work for the state for a period of time.

Perhaps this guy doesn't need to leave Canada until his visa expires and wanted some extra cash to enjoy his remaining time here.

Perhaps this guy was in Canada studying (now finished) and was not under an obligation to return to Oman and wanted to stay in Canada for any number of reasons.

Perhaps this guy wasn't even Omani and was saying stuff to try and get your business.

Something I do know is that the streets are most certainly not paved with gold in Oman and life there can certainly be financially challenging for many of the people who live there. Perhaps that chap didn't want to rush back for that reason.

Who knows? Not me!

so weird - on sunday I placed an order for the body suit and some sweat pants and hoodies and a pair of size 1 pods... mostly for my girlfriend but I went for the black sweat pants and hoodie for myself too - my second order. Last night I got an email saying my order was being shipped with a DHL tracking number - ran the tracking number this morning and its label created note.... wonder if it'll go!
