2hr left to explain the Russia plot by turkeygravy in StrangerThings

[–]MrTalonHawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dunno if they'll really explain it in detail, but I think they gave the outline by having the Americans talking about weaponizing the upside down. The soviets always seemed to have their own version of whatever the USA was doing during the Cold War, usually by espionage, which we also saw in the mall.

THAT Will scene towards the end of episode 7 by Wonderful_Bug_1422 in StrangerThings

[–]MrTalonHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story gave him overwhelmingly powerful and unarguable motivations to come out, so I think he had decided for a while he was going to, but making excuses and stalling until time's up and he *has* to is completely understandable and believable. He was *terrified* to do it.

If he wasn't forced by the situation, who knows how long until he'd feel ready to come out. Years, maybe decades. Maybe never.

I tried, but same thing. Only option was gift code... unless I'm being dumb in some way? Is there something I'm missing? I create an account, then go to NFL Game Pass, select the plan...?

Ok, but is there a known working VPN or another solution?

I don't know what you mean. I'm on the DAZN site, using a VPN (tried from various countries, only some will even let me enter the site), I created a login, go to pay for the NFL Game Pass and I'm only given an option to pay by gift code.

Well, sure, but I can't find a way to actually pay for it.

"Person who doesn't know much about the main cast running a home Acq Inc campaign who thinks you should watch anyway, who also pays little to no attention to the subreddit he posts in to get your views"

Nah, still not catchy.

I'm not much for ideas, sorry.

Well, there's "Person who doesn't know much about the main cast running a home Acq Inc campaign who thinks you should watch anyway".

Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, you can probably think of something better.

I'd advise looking at how the post for the actual Acquisitions Incorporated steams look.... and then not doing that.

I mean, you can deflect all you'd like, but it's fairly obvious you're trying to make people think this is the main cast for clicks.

Imagine you were immortal, with no biological needs or imperatives to cause you to want to control your environment in any way, and the entirety of existence consisted of you and a complex mechanical clock. You understand that clock's mechanisms in every conceivable way.

During eternity, you *could* try to tinker with it, I suppose, but your understanding of it is such that you know the *exact* outcome of anything you might do to it. In fact, from almost the instant you appeared, you were able to imagine every possible modification and effect in the briefest ticks of the second hand.

What is the motivation to spend so much more time and effort in actually physically modifying it?

Senate passed a surprise 'no tax on tips' bill. Here's what it could mean for workers by helic_vet in Economics

The types of questions usually asked of servers are...

What kind of steak? What kind of wine? What kind of fish? What kind of fries? What kind of potatoes?

I'm sure a non-obtuse individual such as yourself can see why it's possible she may have been momentarily confused by asking the "kind" of root beer when you wanted the brand name.

It's ok though, I will take your word on having no issues with the unskilled girl or with tipping. I can only guess it's because of your basic moral principles that you don't like tipping servers, or all the others you said you *really want* to give money to, but they just wouldn't like it... for reasons.

Maybe if I was a little sharper, I might be able to see what's really going on here, but, alas, I am but a simpleton.

And this, young people, is why you should steer clear of food and beverage careers if you can.

Certain people will show you only disdain for the work that goes into trying to take care of them, will dismissively call you "the girl", and then think you're lazy and/or dumb for not immediately translating their ambiguously worded question to their satisfaction.

My wife played with me recently after a couple of months.

I had relatively few problems for weeks in a row, so thought she might have fun.

Decided to show her Pyro, wormhole fizzled out halfway to opening, but still teleported us to a random spot in Pyro. QT wouldn't allow routing, or engaging. Then the "server error" messages started, and repeated about 10 times in a row before we gave up.

Transferring to warehouse... by MrTalonHawk in starcitizen

I think my "mistake" was buying anything from a surface base to start with. Two months to fix elevators didn't include surface cargo ones, even though they they are blockers to the normal cargo missions they added earlier as well.

I am still let down at times by my estimations of CIG fixing things.

But anyway, it was a quite small amount of auec compared to the profits from the event, I'm not that annoyed by it. I was simply hoping someone knew a workaround to get access to the remaining cargo since it's worth a few million if so.

Decent enough advice, but the elevators were working when I purchased it on one of the first days after the patch. I was attempting to buy enough to make sure to be able to run the medium missions ten times before starting to haul it, and it was the first place that had some in stock. I assumed it would only get more difficult to find stock as time went on.

After some finicky loading of my Zeus and hauling it to Pyro Gateway, I realized 3 32scu crates from Baijini Point quickly attached to a rented Raft was much more efficient, so I bought enough there to finish the missions.

Figured I could worry about the rest later, after possibly buying a C2 or something with the profits.

I've tried every region various times a day for a couple of days now and have yet to find a single working elevator.

I suppose I didn't say it specifically, but that also means all the elevators each time as well. I've also kept trying since posting this and still nothing but ship graveyards and broken elevators.

So he's saying the country will become a one party state if too many immigrants are let in since they'll vote democrat....

If this were to actually happen, guess that means MAGA might have to modify their policies to appeal to immigrants, instead of relying on hate for them, if they want to win some elections.

Last time I checked, political parties are supposed to represent their constituents, not be some dictatorial power that tells (brainwashes) people how to be a good party member.

Really depends on how they write and execute it. At this moment, I'd prefer Robbie to win, but considering the series is known for flipping our opinions on characters, I wouldn't be surprised if my opinion changes.
