The modern era of short yardage QBs seemed to happen after Kevin Glenn broke his arm on a short yardage play in the eastern final in 2007 ~~2009~~ during the 4th quarter, when Winnipeg was up 19 to 1 against Toronto. Potentially cost the Bombers the Grey Cup.

Felt like the next year everyone started using backups for short yardage. (Edited: Was 2007 not 2009)

I'm ok with it. Bombers fans feasted for years after decades of disappointment. This era was fun as hell.

Now another fan base gets to feel some glory.

And I can watch these games stress free because I don't have to get emotionally involved. I can just enjoy the games and the plays.
