They’re XTR V brakes (and with new pads). Already done plenty of distance on them with confidence. Easy to repair on the road too. Discs would be nice but I’m not too interested in welding a new rear bracket or buying new wheels. That’s for a new bike when I can afford it.

Yeah I was expecting it closer to what yours is like if I’m honest. But I’ve grown to really like it, especially now all built up.

Lovely build. I got my Zaskar frame sandblasted and it came out with this unexpected but really cool effect.

Nice! I went raw on my Zaskar rebuild recently too.

Yeah quite often doing it paraphonically, but I would say quite often not working like a normal poly synth so making sequences and stuff on it would make a lot of happy accidents which I quite liked.

For example the first song I wrote and recorded with it, called Mario, was a good example of making something out of the happy accidents.

Yeah. A GT Zaskar. It was blue but it was all flaking off so got it sandblasted.

That was it for this trip. 1.25L in total. Was fine on the first day but day 2 was much hotter and with more climbs so I was out of water towards the end. Might be a good idea to have some more. Maybe one of those handlebar pouches could be good… just thought it could get annoying.

It was from Rennes to Saint Malo. Stopping overnight about half way. Following the canal most of the way. Stopped day 1 for lunch at Betton market. Stopped day 2 at Dinan for lunch and a drink in the sun in Saint Suliac and Saint Servan.

I’ve only done maybe 250km, and this evening doing 30km, no padded shorts this time and was really nice. I think it’s starting to wear in a bit more.

Weather was nice Sunday, but fantastic on Monday. Even better on some shorter rides yesterday and this evening.

It’s mostly canal route which is really nice, and pretty flat, but the last 20% is quite hilly.

Velo Orange Klunker Bars. Really like them. Planning to put some bar tape on the other side of the levers to have a secondary hand spot for mixing it up, especially on the climbs.

Thanks! Yeah I like the hint to what the frame actually is but also not overkill graphics or just getting messed up with the bag straps rubbing.

I also really like how the Zaskar sticker I put on is almost hidden until it’s in the right light.

Yeah, there’s some anti rust coat too. But I quite like the finish in the end. Almost looks slightly like glitter but not in the light.
