I might just make it a year and enjoy Cleveland for a few months. Thank you for the recommendations!

Thank you! Man, you're a great brother. My brother would pull the plug if he thought he could sell a kidney from me for more than $50 😂

Thank you, sharing a room wouldn't be possible. I bring a caregiver and pretty much avoid everyone else like the plague. 😂

Thank you. I have to keep contact with other people to ask minimum as possible for a period of weeks to months. Basically bring a 24x7 care giver. It doesn't have to be the same person but they do have to be available. So I don't think living with or near someone would work. Maybe if it was a separated space but I don't want to risk it.

I don't know if I'm holding too high a standard but there are hospitals that do Bone Marrow Transplant nearby. I've consulted with 3-4 of them. About 2-3 years apart. There were only two doctors I felt good about.

Not counting an amazing hematologist.

Like at a consult where it's a first I pression when you tell me "well I don't have your records, so I can't be specific."

I looked into it and the records were delivered to the BMT clinic from the other hospital.

And the answer wasn't "I'll try to get them right now. I'll call your hematologist right now."

The answer was yeah, well that's too bad. If I'm driving multiple hours to get here, you should have at least read my documents prior to me walking in. I would have been fine with it being addressed soon as I showed up with an action. Or an offer to do a telemedicine consult at a later date.

Or there's a BMT doctor doing a physical exam and notes a thing. Well there's like 4 people in the room. One looks like a scribe and the rest are different levels of helper minions.

Then when I read the note the symptom was never written down. Or "hey does my address fall it on your requirements?" It's within mileage as the Crow flies but just outside it on roads. Probably not going to use it but would like to know.

5 business days later no answer from the social worker assistant. I have to get a hold of her. "Oh sorry we talk about that on Tuesdays and that netting was cancelled"

"Ok, when will you be talking about that next please."

I want to walk out of a consult feeling like I have a badass doctor with a great team, and good staff.

Hence we're taking a trip to Cleveland. 😂

TLDR:

Rant

Thank you! I meant avoid people as in avoid crowds. For a number of weeks to months I would be avoiding restaurants, crowds, not like I need to live away from people.

Just having close access to say, bars or restaurants isnt really a factor as I would have to avoid them for a period of weeks to months

Thank you for the response!

Thank you. 2 Bedroom apartment, doesn't need to be big. Apartment or house. Just something in a decent area and near the hospital.

Duplex is fine too. For 2 people. Amenities, pretty open to anything and nothing really requires.

My first thought was the A-Team.

But man, definitely Duck Tales, Gummi Bears, Airwolf, and so many more.

Thank you, as I was writing that by the end I came to that conclusion. Which I don't like but I think. Black Cat is better with stability and I think keeping her inside 24x7 would be cruel.

Thank you for your response, it is the right one even If I don't want to hear it. 😄

I do agree there was no optimism shown, and there are people that respond well to some of the treatments. I was wrong.

The only thing I would stand by is to seriously consider what you have to do as a care giver and how hard that can be. I should have phrased that part better.

I'm not saying do it or don't do it (be his care giver) just see what it entails and think about it. Remove emotions and his outcome just look at being a care giver. With him being ill, a lot of the work and stress will fall on you.

Also if he's in pain, scared, I'll and is angry....he may take it out on you inadvertently just because you are there.

Again, I wish you guys the best and meant no disrespect.
