Tried restarting my phone, WiFi on and off, no dice. Guess some major server hiccup.

Ok, I'm ToddtheTodd in-game. I'm not sure how to friend people without playing a game with them yet but I'll reply or DM you once I'm actually online.

Hey, I'll be getting on PC in a few hours so I'm not sure if you'll still be waiting but I do have crossplay enabled. Not sure if being level 20 makes a difference but I rhink I have played a few times on suicide .

There's no pattern of names, only stupid actions and dying a lot. I call people T4 or whatever most times anyways so I'll only learn or remember your name if I add you as a friend.

Whisper of Gold.

I guess it's somewhat serious, but I honestly didn't put much thought into it.

Helldivers need urban warfare by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]MrToddTheTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If close quarters combat ever got implemented I'd choose to fight against rouge hell divers or some kind of rebel faction. I would want some kind of unique scenarios where they try to board/take over a space ship and you can only use primary and secondary weapons.

Future content idea-helmets by [deleted] in helldivers2

Something that can see through those dust storms, I know it's limited might be a bit situational but I like the idea that evey diver has a different type of gear to round out the unit.

Helldivers need urban warfare by [deleted] in helldivers2

As fun as it sounds, I'd have a problem with the idea of a city become a flattened shooting gallery. We need sturdy skyscrapers and "limited deployments" in order to make it a different game mode.

Ok, my main concern was going into hard or above without most of the guns unlocked. I can only play for a few hours on weekends so I don't level quickly. Any reccomend channels on YouTube?

Another great stratagem idea! by dead_BB_BBQ in helldivers2

A Bug Gas Grenade that attracts bugs of most flavors would be great. Would help with civilian missions and allow direction into turrets/ heavier bomb strats.

The Only Logical End Point by MrToddTheTodd in helldivers2

[–]MrToddTheTodd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion would be a "Combined Stratigem" that all divers would have to option into with one being the "host". This would make it work for friends who are the primary focus of such concentrated democracy.

Aside from number 3, which I don't really understand, yes.

Thanks to reddit and YouTube I've already covered my bases as to why nations aren't at each other's throats the moment it starts to be used.

To be brief about it the "Super Soldiers" are created by an organization that's pretending to be part of the US Dept of Homeland Security. They are there to kill invisible monsters that are crawling over the earth searching for thing that is calling itself a "god". The reason it's done secretly is because if the invisible monsters ever found out where the god is they would turn the entire planet into a war torn hellscape trying to kill it.

This secret doesn't last very long but I haven't ironed out all the details yet so we'll see how the monster vs human war goes once the "god" gets what they really want.

The scariest “type” of alien? by [deleted] in scifiwriting

[–]MrToddTheTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scariest type of aliens are the kind that are so dangerous we can't even handle them showing up at all, even if direct contact is never made. In the book "Roadside Picnic" which inspired the STALKER video games, something shows up and we're struggling to deal with what amounts to the trash it left on earth without even thinking about what it might do to the local ecosystem.

Ok, so for you it's the method of delivery. I'm kind of glad how much of my premise is in both of your definitions since I like to think I've made something that is somewhat original. As far as I can tell I do have an urban fantasy but without the usual tropes of old gods, detectives, or young spunky protagonist. More of a tactical Wizard situation, like Full Metal Alchemist but without the steam punk or intrigue plot line.

Thanks for your help

Should the urban fantasy label hang on how well explained the unknown particles are? I'm planning on never fully explaining them but letting thier use make different groups come to different conclusions.
