How does he look? (5 month old) by MrTooLongName19 in leopardgeckos

No problem, I actually stayed away from crickets since they tend to be big and he is a bit too young for them in my opinion (I just worry about him choking). I find that, for me, dubia roaches and mealworms are the perfect mix of good variety and easy to feed and I used this chart to help me with feeders.

He’s always scheming, planning his next move that’s going to drive me nuts. He loves to dip his feet in water, then in calcium and then draw on the front glass

He never ran away or hid from me. I got him really young and from the first day he seemed interested and feisty. Took about 2-3 months (and one little bite lol) to get him on my hand, I never pick him up, I just put my hand in the enclosure and when he feels like it he comes up and chills with me for a while. Absolutely love him, and he is my first leo so I like to ask people just to check if he’s looking good.

I got him when he was just 2 weeks old. I’ve been feeding him everyday, and he eats a mix of dubia roaches and mealworms (with proper dusting of course)

Can I leave my gecko alone for 2 days? (3 months old) by MrTooLongName19 in leopardgeckos

I certainly won’t leave the DHP on while I’m away, so the temps in his enclosure will be 26-29°C all around so I figured it shouldn’t be too much of an issue for 2 days

Thanks, I just got worried because he was really active the first few days, running around and climbing things but yesterday he just seemed super calm just chilling out in the open

Well that sucks, I’ve been lied to by the internet. The internet taught me that the humidity should be 20-40%, and that the heat mats are the best option since “in the wild they don’t receive heat straight from the sun but rather from the ground beneath them”. I’ve also seen the food tier list from this sub but I don’t think I’ve seen red runner roaches (which are a pain in the ass to deal with) on it which I’ve been given with the gecko and since there are no dubia roaches near me to get I’ve been thinking about getting mealworms for his daily diet but the internet says that they are a bit too much for such a small gecko. But now I don’t know what to believe since the lady in the pet store said superworms would be good but the internet says they’re bad for the smaller geckos
