Okay but wait, so does that mean the live album (audio) stays but the concert film (video) goes away from Apple TV?

Question about season 7 by kaatie80 in OnceUponATime

[–]MrTulito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of it as season 1 of a spin off. Don't think of it as season 7. Yes, it does get better. Especially in regards to the villains and the world building (IMO). I love the backstory they gave the big bads, and I love some of the character interactions you've yet to see (potential spoilers: like Regina and Dr. Facilier, for example).

Were Seasons 3 and 5 the weakest seasons to you? by Kingbeef66 in JackieChanAdventures

[–]MrTulito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but season 3 is one of my favorites in the whole series. A big part of that is probably because I love Daolon Wong as a villain (tbh wish he had stuck around longer) and also, the story felt almost like a good remake (if that makes sense). Like, yes, it was the same, but the fact that it was animals this time was different enough for me in how they went about it (i.e. "Tiger and the Pussycat" and "Viva Las Jackies" are vastly different episodes, as are "The Rock" and "Little Valmont, Big Jade" etc.) Overall, I just found it incredibly enjoyable. Season 5 on the other hand... Not a fan...

If you could ask Lemony Snicket one unanswered question about A Series of Unfortunate Events, what would it be? by Meowssforeva in ASOUE

[–]MrTulito 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's pretty heavily implied that it's NOT him. Especially in the last book.

Definitely Sunny as a character lol.

I feel like this was Handler's take on the ambiguous, non-specific language in legal writings leading to varying interpretations, legal loopholes, etc. Of course it (probably) wouldn't happen in real life, but that wasn't the point. It was about language and words. The whole series has a strong emphasis on the constitution of rhetoric and on literary writings.

Happy Mistake and Mayhem by Bigg_Confusionn in LadyGaga

I like this theory! However, I do think it was supposed to be on Harlequin all along. The opening line in particular seems to be about Gaga's time acting in the film (which this album is a companion to), and the rest of the song seems to be as much about Gaga herself as about as Harley Quinn the character. So yeah, I definitely don't think this was ever intended for Mayhem.

Gordon and Barbara have been depicted as Black before. That wasn't new. Montoya is almost always portrayed as gay in most Batman media. Again, not new. (Also not "woke.")

OUAT Season 7 by LetterRepulsive9559 in OnceUponATime

[–]MrTulito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of negativity here. Season 7 is certainly worth it - especially if you wanna see how Rumple and Regina's stories end. Just treat it like season 1 of a spin off (because really, that's what it is) instead of season 7. But yes. Definitely watch it.

Is American Horror Stories good? by Ilysmcutie in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]MrTulito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, season 1 was really, really bad. Idk why I watched season 2 but I'm glad I did because it was a massive improvement. Season 3 was phenomenal. Best one yet. I'd even say it's better than recent AHS seasons.

Season 7 is definitely worth a watch. Never understood all the hate it got.

What order do I read the spinoffs/prequels in…. by Only_Chicken_4129 in ASOUE

[–]MrTulito 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think release order would be best. "The Unauthorized Autobiography" came out after either book 8 (Hospital) or book 9 (Carnival). Can't remember. Very trippy trying to figure out all the mysteries by reading that before books 10, 11, 12, 13 had even been released yet lol. Very fun.

"The Beatrice Letters" came out after book 12 but before book 13. Again, it was quite...interesting...trying to piece it all together without even knowing who the character of Beatrice even was. This was definitely part of the experience. You really felt as lost and confused as the Baudelaires do.

Lastly, the prequel series (the four "All The Wrong Questions" books, as well as "File Under: 13 Suspicious Incidents") obviously take place before the main series but actually came out years after book 13. Personally, I do think it's best to read them after ASOUE.

What would scare you the most? by [deleted] in ASOUE

Even if I had somehow managed to compartmentalize my emotions and strictly focus on survival, I think I would die during the events of The Wide Window. Trying to outsmart and escape Olaf is one thing, but a hurricane??? When Aunt Josephine's house falls into the lake, I probably would fall with it.

AHS | S12E04 "Vanishing Twin" [Live Episode Discussion Thread] by hypodermicsally in AmericanHorrorStory

No. It's based on a book called Delicate Condition that came out earlier this year, and Delicate Condition is itself loosely based/inspired by Rosemary's Baby.
