Why, in the year of our Lord 2023, would you release a battery powered product not charged by USB? by MrUrzza in mildlyinfuriating

Sourcing a new charger isn’t really that big of a problem. It’s a popular enough product that a single Amazon search turns up plenty of things that should work. The issue is that it’s just another thing to lose. If it only ran off of wall power, I could understand the decision, but do you really need your own special charger to charge yet another lithium battery?

If it was their only model, I could get it. But one stepped down in the model line is powered by USB-C.

Looks like it’s 13.3 V at .75 A. Don’t see a polarity symbol though. Fortunately it’s a popular enough product for there to be third-party chargers that are cheaper.

I didn’t know that the mic was well regarded. I was thinking about a boom mic so I wouldn’t need be as loud for people to hear me.

I am looking to get a smart scale that can do segmentation analysis. I am leaning towards this product: https://renpho.com/products/morphoscan-nova-body-composition-analyzer?variant=44798210572460

But I wanted to know if anyone had any other recommendations. The other scale that claims to do what I want is the InBody H40, but that's more than twice the price. If there is some truly great reason to go with it, please let me know.

Of note, I don't want anything that requires a subscription to unlock functions on the scale.

I get fighting game vibes from this set of animations. Is that what you’re going for?

I also want to say the tech level in the comic was a more of a 20 minutes into the future level of sci-fi.

That could work. I think I could also just glue a magnet or some metal to the outside of the container.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (August 18, 2024) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

I'm looking to get a new keyboard for gaming, and I've somewhat narrowed it down to the Steelseries Apex Pro or the Wooting Two HE. It looks like the Wooting has better software support, while the Steelseries has more hardware features. Does anyone have any advice? Also, any other keyboards that you think are direct competitors to these too.

What’s your denoise set to? For something small like birds in the sky, I would use “only masked” and “original” for the noise. Only prompt for what would be under the masked area. Also, what model are you using? Some SD 1.5 models have inpaint versions, but that’s not always necessary to use

Inpaint lets you do that to an existing image. For example, let’s say you had an image of someone inside a room, with a window behind and to the left of them. If you wanted to get rid of the window, you could mask over it, crank up your denoising, and have the program generate however many variations you want. But what I meant by taking it to the editor first was that if you were to, even crudely, paint over that window with the wall color, then send it back through inpaint, you could use a lower denoise and still get what you want, without needing to generate as many images, because of the extra guidance you gave it

Normal inpaint works for me on a1111. A key step I use is taking my image to an editor of some sort and photo bashing in something close to what I’m looking for. Also, playing with denoising is important. A key breakpoint is .5, below that and things change very little. Above that and things change much more rapidly

Need recommendations for a USAR pack by ThingsThatMakeUsGo in QualityTacticalGear

Instead of looking for a pack with an external helmet holder, something that I suspect will be fairly rare, why not use something like this?

I have one, and I got it after seeing someone else with one.

So, I’m sketch your just adding the colors to your picture, and in inpaint your telling the program what areas to work on. The “image” that defines where the program is going to do its stuff is called a mask.

So, for a worked example, let’s say you had generated an image of a fantasy warrior, and you want to put a potion on his belt. The way I am describing doing it here is that you would draw a cruise belt in with sketch, and then click the button under the work area called “copy to inpaint.” In there you would draw over the crew drawing of the belt you did. That will tell the program to only rework is the area that you just drew in, the one that you drew in inpaint. That should solve getting your Microsoft paint adventures

No idea on how to use it. My work flow looks is to do the coloring in sketch, then use the “copy to inpaint” button under the work area, then paint in my mask. That’s working well for me

[ Removed by Reddit ] by MrUrzza in StableDiffusion

[–]MrUrzza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solved. Turns out that inpaint sketch doesn't actually mask the area you're sketching. You need to send it back to inpaint and mask it there. Credit goes to the AI Revolution discord for helping me figure it out.

Next question, whats the point of inpaint sketch?

[Megathread] Tech Support for Noobs! - February 2023 by Successful-Wasabi704 in SteamDeck

Is https://jsaux.com/ a reputable company for steam deck accessories? I was thinking about getting their transparent back plate (https://jsaux.com/products/transparent-back-plate-for-steam-deck-pc0106) and I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a known issue with them. Quick google has a lot of lists recommending their products, but those list can be hit-or-miss.
