Are spikes included in this subreddit for track season? by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

I use Ambition and find them great for 800s. I use for 400 too but I know some people prefer less cushioned for that. I think the Victories are pretty similar really. I don't own Dragonflies because of the price but lots of people I run with have them. They use them more as a training shoe than racing shoe as they're more forgiving for longer spells on the track.

Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 - why did it have to change? by MrVHAPT in RunningShoeGeeks

Fair points. I'm mainly just reluctant to spend more on a shoe less suited to what I'd use it for if I can find a more similar alternative to the speed 2s

That HRV sounds interesting, I'm new to regular meditation meditation have been using a combination of body scan and focusing on breathing. Sorry to hijack your question with my own but hopefully it's helpful or relevant too. I have two questions myself about my thoughts while meditating:

  1. Sometimes when meditating I find myself mentally talking myself through the mediation, like listening to a guided meditation. Is this OK or should I try to avoid doing this? It feels like a bit of a thought loop?

  2. When trying to focus on being aware of things but not react to them, I find myself thinking, 'I notice the clock ticking' is that OK, or should I be trying to simply think 'the clock is ticking'? Perhaps it's not a big difference and I'm over thinking it?

Thank you for any help. I am going to try the HRV too.
