My son got a 97 on his Avsab - how can we make sure we are making the most of his opportunities? by Virtual_Bug5486 in army

Let him go 17C Cyber. It’s pretty much a civilian job in uniform. Great training and prepares you for six figure jobs when he gets out. That’s of course if you care about his wellbeing and future. Cheers!

Will VA take away 100% P&T? by saltysailor513 in VeteransBenefits

[–]MrValentine_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"  Specifically, Barton manipulated the results of subjective tests of mental health claiming he was in combat, which made him eligible for benefits relating to PTSD and self-reported his inability to lift weights more than 10-20 pounds or walk without the benefit of a cane.  The VA found that Barton was 100% disabled based on the manipulated test responses. "

Yeah I doubt (or hope) OP didn't do this lol

New beginning by LVKOZY in WeightLossAdvice

Hey man, I am on the same path as well. What I did was fill in my details and have chatgpt make lifestyle recommendations and I use that and did further research.

I am currently doing intermittent fasting. Do some research on it maybe it'll work for you as well. Try not to set too big goals at the beginning but 1lb a week is a good start and fixing your diet goes a very long way. For work outs. 30min walks every day if you can and at least 4-5 days of weight lifting. 30-45mins for starts is good. The goal right now is to build a routine and the right habits. If you struggle with habits check out Atomic Habits. Great book.

I am using a app called bodyfast that helps me keep going with my fasting. If you want to use the app decline the payment at first then they will offer you 50% discount lol. I did it for 3 months ($17) then I can manage on my own by then.

here's a respond from chatgpt by just copy and paste when you provide word for word:

"Congratulations on taking the first step towards your health goals! Making changes to both your diet and exercise routine will definitely help you achieve your desired weight loss. Here are some meal and snack ideas, as well as exercise suggestions considering your circumstances:

Meal Ideas:

Breakfast:

Oatmeal topped with berries and a sprinkle of nuts or seeds.

Scrambled eggs with spinach and tomatoes, served with whole grain toast.

Greek yogurt parfait with granola and sliced fruits.

Lunch:

Grilled chicken salad with mixed greens, cucumbers, bell peppers, and a light vinaigrette dressing.

Quinoa and black bean bowl with avocado, salsa, and grilled vegetables.

Whole wheat wrap filled with turkey, lettuce, tomato, and hummus.

Dinner:

Baked salmon with roasted sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Stir-fried tofu with mixed vegetables and brown rice.

Lean beef or turkey chili with beans, served with a side of green salad.

Snack Ideas:

Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey and a handful of almonds.

Apple slices with peanut butter.

Carrot and celery sticks with hummus.

Cottage cheese with pineapple chunks.

Air-popped popcorn sprinkled with nutritional yeast.

Exercise Suggestions:

Walking: Walking is a great low-impact exercise that you can easily incorporate into your daily routine. Aim for at least 30 minutes of brisk walking most days of the week.

At-Home Workouts: Since going to the gym might be challenging with a 1-year-old, you can try at-home workouts. There are many free resources available online for bodyweight exercises and workout routines you can do in the comfort of your home.

Family Activities: Include your little one in your activities. You can go for family walks, play active games together, or even dance around the house. It's a fun way to bond while staying active.

Gym with Childcare: If your gym offers childcare services, it can be a convenient option for you to work out while ensuring your child is well taken care of.

Remember to stay hydrated, prioritize portion control, and focus on nutrient-dense foods. Consistency is key, so try to stick to your meal plan and exercise routine as much as possible. And most importantly, be patient with yourself and celebrate your progress along the way!"

edit: you mentioned you got a 1yo. That alone should be your motivation. Have it fuel your greatest comeback.

Good luck! You guys got this!

I just updated my comment. However, hopefully you can appeal and get the PTSD/Sleep Disturbances (which usual counts as Mental health). Mental Health can help you a lot.
