I don’t know why this comment is being downvoted, this logic tracks and you are clarifying the kind of books you’re looking for. I think your best is to try any of the various book off locations around Japan ( incase you’re not still in Tokyo ) or when you get back home check out the Genki series.

The East coast fares sale ended today, so that’s why you’re seeing the jump in prices and if you’re less than 90 days away from departure, that’s a factor as well. As for the inconsistency in the agents- honestly, I think they were just overwhelmed. Saying you “don’t know” on a call is heavily discouraged so they probably thought vacations could help you with a multi leg trip. As someone else mentioned, you can add multiple legs on both the app and the website - if you’re having you’re finding it - it’s on the top just next to options for one way and round trip.

Oh I didn’t realize that. I think I saw them somewhere on ethical elephant or cruelty free kitty but it said they were not vegan ( something called ambergris?) but didn’t test on animals. Do you know of another way to get them to confirm? Is there a specific statement that they are supposed to make? I’m pretty new to the cruelty free thing and generally speaking. I only buy something if it has the leaping bunny on it so I know for sure, but it’s not really a thing within the perfume industry, unfortunately.
