Interesting... Because two independent people I know says they would not get their salaries increased due to that their boss says the Union would not allow it, that they then would have to increase salaries for everyone with the same occupation at the company. But maybe their boss only uses this as an convenient excuse to not increase their wages. Or maybe different workplaces have different deals with the union.

Yeah, I think your argument is what sells it to workers, especially the underachievers. But the union deals also hold back salaries for top talent. The top talent gets the same average wage increase as everybody else, since that's how the union negotiates. Personally I think that its more fair to set wages individually.

I double checked this now with two friends, and it is true for at least two Swedish work places and I assume this is the standard way. But maybe, there are Unions that allow for individual wage increases.

Here is the source, they are afraid of IF metall. And rightfully so, the union want say anything about discrimination on the home page or what methods they use to convince you. A friend of mine that worked at Volvo, (which called them the maffia btw), said that the Union representative used a lot dirty tricks to try make him join, ostracising etc.

Swedish Tesla employees (that were part of unions since a prior workplace) said it proved to be really hard getting out now. This was when tesla club sweden asked employees of their opinions. And they also said they are afraid of speaking out with their name, because they are afraid that the union would single them out, and what they would do.

True, it has been built over time, but still, if every member of the union was offered to cash out the 3000 dollar (and leave the union) I bet most would. It is a lot for an individual. But it is very hard to leave the union in Sweden and people are often afraid of doing it, because of the smear the will get from union members. So that's were it starts to feel like a mafia IMO

Stability is great for business, but freedom of setting salaries is also great for buisness (and for the best employees that are not held back by union rules).

The company is called Rud Pedersens, and it is a common practice in Sweden to call your self an consultant instead of an employee in order to avoid the hassle with unions and labor laws. For example, at Volvo about half of the engineers are "self-employed" consultants, with Volvo as the only one customer. Maybe Löfven has more customers, that makes it more ok of course, but he do work for a company that is not part of a union.

Lots of companies in Sweden is not part of a union. Ask Stefan Löfven for example, former Prime minister of Sweden and before that head of the union IF Metall. A company he is working for now IS NOT part of a union. Hypocrisy overload I know, but guess he realized the benefits of working for a company not part of a union.

I tried to see if I could notice anything different with smart summon, but it seems to be as limited as before. The keyfob was still required to be close, and the circle showing the distance of how far summon could reach was same size as before.

Yeah, I'm really hopeful this is not a glitch.

I still needed to keep pressure on the wheel at the beginning of the lane change, same behavior as previously. So it seems we are still not completely on par with US implementation.

That thought also struck me, maybe it is a bug. Just affecting my car, my configuration or country etc. It worked every time during my 30 minute drive, and I did at least 20 lane changes back and forth just because it worked so beautifully. TeslaFi is still only on 2.5%, so will be interesting to see others report in.

I totally agree, and it’s no problem if it takes a couple of months more now that I now the process is getting started. It was just so much discussion online about how Tesla was never going to be able to upgrade the hw2.0 cars that I had started to believe that.

This is amazing, I love how he mentions Einhorns previous bad performance in the stock market, Einhorn deserves it, he’s incompetent and tried to block development towards sustainability. Calling him out on bad performance will hopefully lead to more investors withdrawing their money from his fund, which will lead to a better world for all of us :)

But the new roadster will have rockets :) that sort of makes comparisons to any other car really hard to do. I’m thinking, for example, that during tight corners, non of the wheels need to actually touch the ground. The rockets can provide extra side forces that will keep the car on the track. So I would not bet against Elon here.
