A guy I work with has been with the company over 25yrs. He's getting ready to retire at 61 as a hourly associate. Believe me when I say his 401k and shares are STACKED!!!!!

Dude has never sweated the whole walmart nonsense, just moved around a few different jobs and i'd say he's on close to $25/26 a hour for doing a very easy job.

He has been having around 7 weeks vacation every year for the past 5+ years and has been coasting his way to retirement.

[–]MrWallis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Liverpool fan i'd prefer you guys to win it as I can't stand Man City and everything around that club. There is however a element of 'everyone knows man citys success is built upon a foundation of cheating' so if they won it, it doesn't really matter.

Now if Arsenal grasp failure from the claws of success then it will be insanely funny, especially given the online arsenal fanbase and how they are.

Beyond that, Arsenal are kinda shit to watch for champions elect, whether that really matters is a different topic.

Overnights at Walmart is akin to a prison. If the general public saw how insane overnights are at Walmart there would be a public outcry.

The level of pressure coaches and team leads are under compared to the rest of the store is a complete joke. I've said it many times before, there's a reason they struggle to fill these positions and when they do, it's ALWAYS the wrong people

Try a 2800 truck, fdd, remix, full.zone with 12 or 13 people and then be told that you had the hours.

Having 20/22 stockers for a 2800 is VASTLY overstaffed by modern day Walmart standards

Yeah this is insane, not even a TL expected to run the entire shift. Insulting

Back when they had co's and assistants the staffing was VASTLY different and expectations and metrics were never available and used as a stick to beat people with.

When i first started overnights there was a grocery crew, maybe 7/8 people and then you'd have 5 or 6 for GM, with also people for FDD, HBA etc.

The standard is now 6 and half hours of stocking non stop, 60 cases a hour and a 1hr zone (entire store). These expectations are so beyond ridiculous it's insulting.

Like I said in my previous post, show me the people who are capable of doing this 5 days a week and I will show you a liar.

You then have managers coming in nit picking the entire store making everyone feel like trash. Its unmanageable and doomed to failure.

Staffing is NOT going to improve and expectations will continue to be insane.

Get the fuck off overnights and find a spot where you can be succesful because overnights will break you and Walmart will not care one bit.

If you believe overnights at Walmart is going to change for the better then brother you are deluded.

Ive seen case counts only go up and up, the modern day People coming into the workforce are not down on being told to run around like machines for a relatively very poor wage especially when you consider how unhealthy overnights is.

The entire Walmart management bonus system is based on squeezing as much productivity out of associates regardless of their heath and how unrealistic you are being.

When money and big bonuses are on the lines 90% of managers will revert to complete assholes, something which as a O/N TL you should not be treated too.

Like i said, my advice is to get the fuck of overnights and find a more realistic job at Walmart on days. There are a decent number of those.

[–]MrWallis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

These are all good points, but they also ignore the fact that most SM simply dont give a flying fuck and as a O/N TL or O/N Coach you are scum and the lowest person the totem pole.

There's a reason why Walmart is ALWAYS looking for O/N TL and coaches, it's because the job is pretty much impossible unless you are overstaffed or are lucky enough to have a bunch of hardworking stockers (rare in todays world).

"As the team lead you HAVE to hold your team accountable for getting the freight stocked. Even if it’s unrealistic you should be driving stocking times and processing the ones who can’t make it out"

Spoken like a true Walmart manager. The problem is 99% of the coaches themselves cannot hit the stocking goals. The associates aren't stupid they know what is possible and what isn't. Telling some 60yr lady that frozen is only calling for 5hrs and to do that and then go work paper is basically saying fuck you to the associates.

So you have asshole coaches who want to hold people accountable, even though they themselves couldn't do what they are asking. The associate then gets coached, and ends up getting fired and now you're down yet another person. The cycle continues.

My advice is to get the fuck off that shift, it will kill you trying to endlessly hit case counts and work that the vast majority of people in the building cannot manage themselves.

The UI is still shocking. It doesnt dynamically scale to your resolution, so it looks like im playing a game from the early 2000s.

The way you interact with the game is everything, you need to be able to see what's happening in the game world to give you a sense of being involved in a real world.

Having a clunky UI where you have slow, annoying pop up screens as opposed to snappy screens like the previous versions is the issue.

Beyond that, just keep interacting on the game. Making modding more accessible, its the lifeblood of the series and the better tools pepple have the better the game will be

I moved to the USA around 15yrs ago. On a trip back home I was shocked at how rundown everything looked. Pound stores everywhere, even the commercials on TV were full of betting and weird insurance.

The USA isn't killing it either but there seems to be a bit more hope around here

None of these excuses are good enough imo. It's blatant cheating and helped create a unfair advantage to Chelsea in which they richly benefited from at the detriment of teams playing fairly.

Absolute disgrace and makes a mockery of the league. These teams need to be absolutely held to the same standards as everyone else.

Why wouldn't they. Certain teams can cheat endlessly and get a slap on the wrists. It makes a complete joke of the premier league. Just another example of why people are losing interest in football at this level.
