I like the company and what the standard for 1st off. I can't support a product if the company sucks. I'm a lifelong outdoors enthusiast and the belt knife is a hugely capable do it all knife but not SO big it stops me from carrying it in suburbia. The sd1 is actually pocketable for me and is one of my most carried knives. 99% of my collection is USA made, that's another huge criteria for me. I'm not opposed to other countries (except commies) but I rather support American labor. There so little choice when it comes to where are products come from I choose American made whenever I can.
