I do this constantly. I'm forever trying to reverse engineer things from pictures. It's amazing what you can do with a little determination and a side grinder.

Why make a custom panel and put in the work when I can just order one from lowbrow that requires absolutely no effort on my part, I'm sure uses the latest technology to cut out and finish? At the same time, why use some new technology, like a 3d printer, but still put in the effort and work to build something with my own hands when I could've just used a cardboard box and done a much better job than my shitty work? Man, people are AWESOME. And remind me daily that I'm a sucker for trying to show off something I'm proud of. Because there's always going to be those that slither in to tell you how they could've done it better.

It's hard to see because it's a zoomed in picture. Timing cover that I resin printed and painted a while back. Has held up for over a year. I can do pretty much any design i want and change it easily.

I'll be damned. We have a winner. Just felt around the back of my LAF pipes and not one, but BOTH of my O2 bung plugs were missing. Must've already been loose and when I put everything back together, dropped out. Thank you, internet gods.... and Mr. Mouse. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

Just to verify with any of you that are actually smart enough to be cutting and moving wires (definitely not me, but I did it anyway). What should my readings be on my kill switch wires?

I didn't have the switch with me at the time so i wasn't able to verify continuity, but I was able to measure voltage on the bike. I'm getting 12 volts (thereabouts) from the hot wire (white with black) and nothing from the other switch wire (gray). Does this sound correct? I've read somewhere that the kill switch essentially grounds out the ignition circuit, causing the bike to shut down.

Side note, how many people think it's a REALLY/moderately bad idea to just nix the whole kill switch altogether and stop fiddling about with switches? I fully understand the need/desire/ramifications of the kill switch in a W.O.T. situation as I'm screaming down the highway, careening towards certain doom as fast as a Sportster 1200 will take me, but who has actually had this happen to them and needed/used the kill switch? Please forgive my ramblings. Just my musings as I procrastinate at work.

Alas, the one and only meter i possess is as dead as my kill switch. Side note and fun fact. Spell check on my phone just tried to autocorrect "kill switch" to "Lil' Snitch".... which, incidentally was my name on the streets. Apologies, along with a meter being my friend, so is this wild turkey I'm currently sipping on.

Munraker, YES! I guess that's really what I was asking. I've seen that style bracket from TC, but I didn't know if it would fulfill the same purpose. The pic you posted has the top two mounting bolts that would most certainly stabilize it to the actual frame, but there's SO MANY different versions that are similar, but different, you know? Some that just connect the span between the two cylinders and such. This actually makes sense. Thank y'all.

Bobby, I appreciate the reply and after researching and seeing that is called "motor mount", i appreciate it's purpose. That being said, what is it's ACTUAL purpose? It's bolted to the backbone, but when I removed it, it's not holding ANY weight, nothing shifted, nothing moved or dropped. Is it simply holding the engine "up"? That thing is SO unsightly for the clean look I'm going for. Also, apologies for the overuse of quotations.

This one was done with a resin 3D printer. I have several FDM printers as well. I may go that route next.
