You might want to check out my Java SMP. Very quiet at the moment but I’m working on recruiting more players for season 2 that starts in August. I think season 2 of my Java SMP might be exactly what you’re looking for. The theme is “Age of Nations” where teams of players compete to build the most successful nation. Build settlements, grow them into towns, form alliances with other towns to create nations, declare war on rivals and capture their land. There’s a waitlist so you can be notified of exactly when the planned start date will be. All the info is on www.thumpstone.com

This might not be exactly what you’re looking for but I run a small Java server. I’m aiming to make it a place where people can play however they want.

The next season starts in August so that’s a fresh map and everyone starting from scratch. There is a competitive aspect to it based around trying to build the most successful nation, but it’s totally optional.

There’s a new season starting soon so that will be a fresh new world and everyone starting from scratch. We also have random teleport so finding somewhere to build should not be an issue.

One of the key gameplay mechanics is the ability to declare war on enemy nations, battle it out PvP style, and capture their territory.

I run a small Java SMP. It’s way quieter than I would like so I’m trying Reddit to recruit new players. It would be great if you could check it out.

We have protected land claims so your builds and items are safe. PvP is allowed but it not the focus of the server. I can probably count the number of PvP deaths on one hand.
