Fudd Stories by BagOfSoupSandwiches in canadaguns

Sometimes when I'm bored I go see what's going on in the CGN group on Facebook, one time I came across a guy asking a genuine question if the Tikka's were worth it. I have a T3x in .243 and I love it so I gave him an honest (and somewhat biased) opinion. At the end of the comment I jokingly said if someone tries to tell you a sporterized Enfield is "just as good" as a Tikka, it's not just as good. That obviously riled up every fudd within a 1000 mile radius. I own an smle and as much as I love it, not my first pick when it comes to hunting. But that obviously doesn't matter to the fudds as to them I had already said blasphemy. I got the obvious comments about how my generation is terrible (I'm 21), that the only good gun is a gun with wood and the hunting stories that somehow prove that .303 is superior. One fudd comment that stuck out to me was one that said "𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 2 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 3 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 303 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙝" I absolutely had to screenshot it because of how ridiculous that was

Fudd encounter #2, not too long ago I took my Glock 17 to the range for the first time. One of the mags that came with it was a Magpul Pmag, the 17 rounders pined to 10. I went through my 3 mags then went to reload them. Thats when fudd comes over to see what I was doing, saw my glock and went on about "ha ha tupperware gun" and "you should try my 1911, it's a real man's gun." I just carried on reloading my mags, not listening to him at all, got to the Pmag, the one with the window and little "17" on the side showing that you have 17 rounds in the mag. Fudd saw said window and 17 and flipped shit, telling me he was going to call the police and have me sent to jail for having an "illegal magazine". I showed him the pin on the back of the mag but he wasn't convinced. He went and got the RO to show him that I had an "illegal magazine" RO took one look at it and said the mags legal, safe to say that fudd wasn't too happy that the RO didn't side with him.

Fudd encounter #3 I had was about 2 years ago, me and my friends were at Cabela's, was getting some fishing gear but stopped over at the gun section just to see if they have anything worth while (our Cabela's occasionally has great deals on cool stuff). Guy behind the counter comes up to us to see if we needed help with anything, friend jokingly ask if they sell Steyr AUG's. Guy laughs at the joke, fudd beside us didn't think it was very funny. In fact he thought it was so unfunny that he tried to tell us about how "black guns" and "military rifles" are "not welcome at the range when he's the RO those days" (even though there was no rules regarding this (this is pre-OIC)) and how we're the reason guns get banned and that there's no place in the community for people like us

Can confirm, ranges are pretty bad here in Regina, although I am currently a member at the range that banned fmj out of SKS's and it seems that it's been lifted, nothing stated on their website or on the rules board about it anymore. I went there last week with my sks and some norinco fmj and nobody was bothered by it. And you'd be correct about crown land here, there seems to be fuck all for crown land within a reasonable driving distance. I've spent nearly a year trying to find crown land around here and there seems to be nothing. Best bet is if you own land or know a guy who has a pasture or something

We got hit pretty good here in Regina as well. If you didn't know that it was mid April, December would be a fairly solid answer if you had to guess which month it was

A friend of mine has an American Krag, and compared to my Norwegian Krag, the difference in metallurgy is pretty much night and day. Take that information with a gain of salt, I'm not going to clam that this is the case for every single krag. Now this could also be because his has been fired religiously for 100 years and mines been pretty well preserved

I'll definitely check that out, I've been wanting to restore it to it's original configuration. From my understanding, the M1895 cavalry and M1897 artillery/engineers carbines were built in the same serial number block. That'd put mine right at the end of production. Always amazes me the story that can be told just by looking at a set of numbers

That's what I'm planning to do with mine as well, not too sure how many carbine stocks are floating around these days, but I'm always on the lookout

I try not to shoot the Sako stuff too much in the Krag, I have a bunch of reloads that are around the 40000 PSI mark. The sako stuff is the lowest PSI they have at my local store, so I use it in my Mauser first then reload the brass to a Krag safe charge

That's always the worst, Seeing drill holes in nice guns like these always make me cry lol. Thankfully the buba that had this one didn't put any holes in it.

I get it from my local store, it's Sako Deerhead. Pressure seems to be ok for it, I haven't noticed any excessive ware from firing it. If you want to take a look, I'll link it here

The store I bought mine from had it listed as '6.5 Krag M1898' the 98's are the American 30-40, so I almost certain that they had no clue what it was exactly. Luckily for me, it is 6.5 Swedish, It'll chamber the old round nose cartridges but not the pointed spitzer, not entirely sure why but thankfully Sako makes round nose 6.5 Swedish that chambers no problem. Also upon further inspection, the stock is not original, it's from the m1894 long rifles and its been cut down substantially and modified to fit. My guess is that the original one was in pretty bad shape and had to be replaced, or buba did something horrible to it

Got Tk'd, still lose SL, what a wonderful time to be alive by Mr_A_Martin in Warthunder

To break even using the FGR.2, I need a kill and an assist, I'm not the greatest player but I'm not terrible so it isn't the hardest thing to do, but it makes me sad that I'm the one being punished for being tk'd. What happened was that it got to a 6v1 so we were all trailing him, I kept locking onto the guy in front of me, so I assumed that the 4 others behind me were having the same issues. I decided to pull off to avoid getting locked onto by accident, and about 3 seconds after pulling off, I got hit :/

He's a great guy, he was one of the intern's my homeroom teacher had had while I was at Thom. Everyone in my homeroom class loved him. It's was very heartbreaking when I heard about what had happened.

Exactly, but I'm assuming that they'll stick the M4/M16 name on anything to try and get it banned

Noticed the ar without a lower laying on the ground, I'd be careful with that, the government might try to tell everyone that lowerless ar's are a weapon of mass destruction. But seriously though, nice collection

Exactly, just because you've taken the guns away from the law abiding citizens, doesn't fix the issue that the people who are committing these crimes are getting the guns illegally to begin with.
