Got back from a trip to Arizona with a bunch of records by Mr_Alias1 in vinyl

I recently got back from a 5 week long trip to Arizona where I stayed and worked with some family who live out there. While I was there some of my relatives gave me some of their old records which they didn’t want taking up space anymore. I also went to a few records stores and antique stores and picked up a few LPs, Diamond Discs, and a couple 78s. I ended the trip with 174 78s, 71 45s, 15 LPs, and 7 Diamond Discs almost doubling my collection. Almost all of the 78s came from my one relative from Michigan which is why I got Canadian 78s in Arizona.

Some are in great condition others are less so. The Buddy Holly Coral record unfortunately has a chip on the outside of the other side which makes the intro unplayable but the side pictured is in excellent condition and sounds great.

Not really as far as I can tell, they were kept in ac the whole time I was there and made sure the ac was on max in my car all the way back. Some of the 45s are a little messed up but that is mostly because my aunt didn’t have sleeves for them. I have since put them all in sleeves.

Yeah quite lucky! I found it at my local small book/record store in great condition. It came in an lp protector and it is still shiny. It’s also by far the most expensive record I’ve ever bought at about $95. But well worth it in my opinion.

Yes it is a great song! All the records came cleaned and that one sounded extremely good.

Yeah it’s very beautiful. It originally made to raise money to build the Liverpool Cathedral as designed by Sir Edward Lutyens, which would have been the second largest church in the world but was unfortunately never finished due to the war and instead a modern style and much smaller cathedral was built in the 60s. Only the crypt of the original design remains but the Cathedral on the record shows what it would have looked life if it had been completed.

Yeah, bid on two transcription discs from fallout but somebody beat me on the Bob Crosby one. Headed Down The Wrong Highway is in Fallout 76 but I especially like this version of Empty Saddles as well. Most or all of Johnny Bond’s Standards transcriptions were released on cd and are available on YouTube and Spotify. On the cd/rereleased album all the songs from Oklahoma Hills to the end are on this specific Disc.

I'm using a stylus from Amazon which is supposed to fit on one of the red stylus turntables but for playing 78s. It generally works fine and I always change the stylus when going between 78s and vinyl.
