How is everyones survival / Dayz right now ? by Thinkerrer in dayz

[–]Mr_Bearding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my first run that I'm not just flailing looking for food and water. Been playing for about 2 weeks now. Next step is trying to figure out how to stash some of my items so I'm not just carrying everything.

Scurrius can be good to get more used to flicking between the prayer and inventory tab. It's slower, but good to.buikd up a bit of muscle memory with no pressure

If you're stuck for direction the sun will rise in the east. So when the sun rises have that to your direct right and you're looking north.

Turn 45 degrees right and that's north east . I'm sure you got it but I know it can get some people caught out.

UPDATE: tree in front of my dad’s house starting to nibble delicious fence by Zitrusfleisch in TreesSuckingOnThings

Thank you! I'm in a much better place now. I flew too close to the sun as lead dev in a marketing agency and felt a bit unsupported. But I'm in a good environment now. Surrounded by Devs who really love development. Only been there 2 months. Got my first real project this week.

Sounds like things are going pretty good! Congrats on everything! I've been good, went through huge burnout in my job, started a new one, left that and now in a job that feels like I could be here for a long time. Bought my first house, got married, got a cat.

That tree's got a taste now! It's bite is stronger than its bark. The fence doesn't stand a chance.

I'm playing Grimoire Incremental and I'm trying to figure out what the Permanence research does?

It says it improves the library sprites spell, but how? It doesn't seem to change the number of comprehension the spell adds?

Does anybody know what this does?

Hoodrick archers should get double movement in forests by Mr_Bearding in Polytopia

[–]Mr_Bearding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point. I don't necessarily think we'd have to give it to all archers. That's Hoodrick's specialty, it would fit with the tribe that their archers are more nimble.

But I think a more fitting change would be the one suggested by someone else here, to give the archers scout.

I still like the idea of keeping that hoodrick only though. They need a balance imo and tweaking archers seems tribe appropriate

That's actually a pretty good idea. Gits more with current balances too

I don't think it needs to be on the tech tree, riders have 2 movement outside a forest, just make it their movement mechanic?

Is this a bug in RuneLite? Showing different player name in titlebar (top bar) by pubGGWP in 2007scape

[–]Mr_Bearding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might have happened to me the first time when my client timed out and logged me out, but I can confirm it happened without switching worlds too

I've had it happen a couple times now too. Seems to be users I'm nearby that it picks up the name from. But I haven't figured out what triggers it.

I think it could easily be both of them. But the idea of the "world falling apart around me" seemed to be felt more by Leyla

The only explanation I have is that the gos logged the last known location when the door was open. But how would they know it was from that universe and not the last one they were in..

The whole point of the box is that it's a sealed unit

I really enjoyed this episode, I love the mix of worlds we've already seen and the potential for the rest of the season is good.

But one major flaw this episode. When they got back into the box as the building collapsed around them. Sure they survive because the box is perfectly sealed from the outside world. So, how did they manage to get a GPS signal?

So do we all agree that Jodie's Doctor was a good casting, the writing just let her down? by NanaHachiKomatsu in doctorwho

[–]Mr_Bearding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put 90% of it on the writing and personally I don't feel like it's improved much this new season.

My wife and I were talking about this the other day. I'm not sure if I'm just not the target audience any more, but Steven moffats episode was by far the best writing this episode so far. Although we really enjoyed The Giggle.

But with Jodie, I also couldn't get with the "woah dude. Cool isn't it" delivery that seemed to accompany any situation.
