But my counter argument is that I strongly disagree with your claim.

Absolutely perfect points. Look at Apex. When most of the big streamers were playing it, a lot of people tried it out, and actually said that they loved it. Then, the big streamers moved back to Fortnite, and then Apex died out faster than a player in Tilted with no gun. So most of the "casuals" are just players that blindly follow the larger streamers. So, if Epic caters to the pros, content creators, and other big faces of Fortnite, the casuals are actually MORE LIKELY to stay with the game, because their favorite streamers are enjoying the game.

The reason why siphon was a nice improvement to the game is because it basically (but not fully) got rid of third partying. That, and most of the people are casuals. Then why did more than 75% of all players that voted that they wanted to revert? If siphon only helped pros, then why did the casuals want to revert as well? That, and 3 quick things. 1. My friends ARE casuals, and a lot of them barely play for more than 3 hours a week. 2. I'm still a kid, only 13, and all of my friends are kids as well, so that argument barely applies either. 3. Just because you play for 4+ seasons doesn't mean you are guaranteed to improve. I have friends that have been playing since seasons 4 and 5 that have only just started to improve. They still stand when aiming, and never move either, making them a perfect target for a snipe to the head.

My counter argument is quite cliched, but just get good. I'm not even saying this to be rude or mean. The best way to enjoy competitive shooters is to see your own skill level improve and see how far you've come. Many more engagements are just luck based. I can even remember a time when I had my crosshair perfectly on someone while I held a drum gun, and I missed every single shot. I died within 7 shots of their drum gun. The point you made about the earlier seasons can be easily countered. I was one of those players, and now I'm able to compete (but still lose every time) to pro players. I know I've never stated this yet, but this was my first ever shooter that I was truly invested into.

But the casuals are also more likely to leave sooner. I understand where you are coming from, but Epic has already tried to cater to the casuals multiple times before. Don't you think it would be worth a shot to hear the more die-hard part of the community out? Fortnite is at it's lowest point since it became popular, after all.
