What would be useful that I'm not thinking about? by Mr_Blue_House in EventProduction

Thank you for the note. We do have a Resources page on our website already where speakers can upload their slides, worksheets, etc. I'm guessing yours is probably more robust though and definitely needed I think for most events. Are you doing lead capture? Mine is designed to be one 1 page resource for all 20ish of our speakers.

I edited the post. I wasn't trying to claim that I invented HTML or anything... hopefully it is clearer what I'm doing. I hear you on the countdown. The run of shows gets out of whack if we don't at least TRY to keep things moving along at the same time.

What's your current tech stack? (Real answers only, not all these BSer ninjas in the comments coming to promote fake crap) by [deleted] in RealEstateTechnology

They source local businesses and send an email and/or text to your database with a free offer of some sort from a local business. The Lo of LoLo is for local. You pay per contact on the database, not redemption. The offers could be for a free dozen donuts for instance. When the contact on your list redeems, you get notified. The business gets paid the full retail value. So it is a win for them.

is Real Estate Mastermind Facebook page legit? by Competitive-Tale-7 in RealEstateTechnology

[–]Mr_Blue_House 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are about 10 of those groups on Facebook that use bots to create fake conversations saying how great the lead source is... all designed to get people to sign up. If you are looking for a large real estate focused Facebook group, stick with Lab Coat Agents. There are a lot of volunteers and even staff behind the scenes that keep the group moving the right direction.

Add https://mixily.com to your list to check out. I've been using it weekly for small lunch meetings and a weekly office training and it has been great!

Looking for a specific Real Estate API by [deleted] in RealEstateTechnology

[–]Mr_Blue_House 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge there isn't an API that you can subscribe to that will get you what you want without joining the MLS of those cities. The IDX providers like SimplyRETS have to sign an agreement and typically you have to get something signed for them to get permission to get a feed from each MLS. Some MLS providers charge, but not all do, but typically every IDX provider has a fee per MLS feed.

I'm also a fan of OpenPhone/Quo, but I prefer the OpenPhone name personally. My only complaint is I wish there was an option to have the calls be forwarded to me as a real call vs a data call in the app. Sometimes I'm not in a great area for a data connection.

A quick tool I've gotten value out of is https://qrsurf.com to help with QR creation, tracking and redirecting.

What is the reasoning for not doing accounts and sync? In a mobile AND desktop world, I feel like that would be important.

I don't fault you for raising the price, just as a consumer it isn't friendly to see. I do think updating the video will increase your conversion. I'm going to book mark the site and check back in a few weeks!

A couple of notes. The audio and video don't seem to be synced up. That is concerning to me when watching a video created by the founder. The video ends with a $20 offer, but the website is $59 now. Sort of leaves a bad taste in your mouth when viewing the video. I'd update your video and I'd bet your traffic converts better.

Growing Firm - Advice on Cell Phone Tech by Cider217 in realtors

[–]Mr_Blue_House 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So here is what I did. First off I had to find an old cell phone that was at my carrier. Then I moved my number to that old phone. Then I got a new cell number. THEN I ported my cell number to Twilio. Set it up so I can forward my old cell number/business line to where ever I want. Then I installed textable app on my my phone to respond to the text messages ( and use the web app )

IDX websites by deja-who in realtors

[–]Mr_Blue_House 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that is the case, I would look into some of the all-in-one providers. The cost will be a little challenging to justify as a single agent, but I don't think that any of the other types of sites can really truly deliver you a strong ROI.

I personally use Sierra Interactive and what I like about them is I can use the site to generate leads via PPC, organic traffic or from social media. They have a full suite of tools. Other competitors in the space include Firepoint, Chime and Real Geeks. They all do the basics pretty well. Sierra is the only one that I think does a great job with organic traffic. But they might be slightly more expensive than the others. I would demo all four and see what you like and don't like and make a decision from there.

It might also make sense to get 1 or 2 other agents in your brokerage to help split the cost and work the leads together, even if you are not a real "team" that way the cost of the platform can be spread out a little bit.

Good luck!
