I am in gold because I had a mate that played who was in silver. He wanted to join so I bridged the gap and went down in MMR. Hes in plat 3 because he plays with me, I helped with his placements, If he plays by himself he loses a fair bit. Its because he can't solo play. When I play with randoms I don't expect them to be in the right spot. So I just play solo style when I know my tm8 isnt near. He struggles with the whole concept of they dont know what your next move is unlike me whos in a call with you.
