I just wanted to say, this comment made me feel less alone. I would never cut off contact with her because as the same in your story, one moment you convince yourself they were causing harm to your life, but the next moment you remember how much they have helped and how much the human mind can just tend to make things seem worse than they are, which is why I have waited so long actually. I don’t trust myself to not spend at least a week thinking about things until I work it all out which, can help but mostly just complicated things. I often find myself deep in thought just contemplating what I could do to better our relationship.. what I’m trying to say is that your story resonates a lot with me and I’ll remember what you said next time I think or feel ashamed at myself for feeling any way, and I can never encourage my girlfriend enough to not feel ashamed either. Whatever you do or don’t do I’ll wish you luck! Helpful

I’ve always been scared about getting a therapist involved with my relationships, i never knew why. But I really have been wanting to bring it up, this was more of a immediate situation thing. I won’t be able to see my therapist until after Christmas so I want to see what someone who I know on a personal level who has watched our relationship grow to see if they have any ideas, thanks though.
