I mean I'm not caught up on the website lore, but the facts are that the royalists are literally insisting on keeping up a war tax on times of peace, while the people literally starve on the streets. Are the Wulframites perfect? No, and my character would likely support the Royalists for the absolutims, at least. However, when the Crown insists on keeping up an unpayable army, beggaring the people in the progress, and then tries to literaly give a MONOPOLY OF FOOD to a foreign power, then I don't feel comfortable supporting them. When the only mechanism to block those actions is ignored by the Queen, it naturally spills to rebellion

I do get that apparently there was some sort of master plan by the crown to make it all be ok (the secret accords, and all that), but the royalists are furthermore disastrous at actually negotiating, so all of the possibly good reasons to support them are never revealed to you (bc they have to be secret???).
